shame on you. ebay links not allowed.
anyways....
i, and most everyone else, will tell you that it is EXTREMELY unwise to buy anything from ebay that has moving parts. but if you feel like being the one to test it out, please let us know how it works.

is that what they said the name of the turbo was?
did you ask them what brand it was?
where they got it from?
it looks like just another chinese turbo
I wouldn't risc slapping on a chinese trubo, you will never know what you are really getting.(quality/materials/specs):ugh:

Ebay links are not allowed in the For sale threads!
I never saw anythign prohibiting it anywhere else!
oh, sorry! just deleted the link! :hammer: and thats the thing, i dont want to test it out. haha, i wanna learn from someone else's mistake/experience before even considering it.

They work for some, they don't for other people. The question you need to ask yourself is, are you willing to risk compressor blades breaking off and flying into your motor?

supposedly, if you take off the end nut, put licktite, and retq...they are good to go
the #1 failure in teh ebay turbos is that nut comming loose, leading to inbalance, and destruction.

I think you could have kept the link on there! since you are not selling anything!
they are not allowed in the FOR SALE SECTION ONLY
they dont like linking to ebay pages!

licktite is a special solution made from camel spit which is used as a thread locker on fast moving parts

thats like the worst horror story ive ever hear happend to a dude with a fd rx-7,
and the locktite thing could be true, the ebay turbos dont ahve a reversenut on the shaft, so it walks it self loose sometimes.
overall i think that you would be better off cruising the forsale section.
dont risk whats not worth it
just do it and let us know how it goes...

meh, do you really think your going to get a quality turbo for $200. Genuine Garret T28's are like 7 times that much. Really you get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like this. Its pretty hard to screw up a $30 dollar strut bar, but a turbo...thats a risk few would take to save some dough. You can get much better quality turbos used for around $500, and they would probably last longer then this "new" ebay piece.

Ebay turbos suck.
If you brake the nut loose on the CHRA, the turbo will need to be rebalanced. it is balanced all put together, taking the nut loose can cause changes in position. Last time I looked, I dont think loctite will hold up to the temps that happen on the inside of a turbo

I don't have much hate on ebay turbos. Haven't had any personal experience with them.
But what I will say goes for any motor.
If that shit blows and metal particles go into your motor...

1 - you mark the shit and put it back where it was.
2 - theres always a loctite good enough.
3 - ebay is stupid

Srry didnt know it was a old post. I look for reviews
On all parts i buy n give my input.
My break in period was 400 miles at 4psi no hard acceleratio
Then oild change, then back up to 8 psi.
I was skeptical about the process but it was recomended by
A shop fuel injected performance. Lead mechanic by yoda
Who work with turbos for 10 years walked me through the process.
I am by no means a expert been working with turbos for 2years
So following yodas advise my turbo works well im at 4k miles and still boost amazing
