View Full Version : Guesstimating Power Output on a KA-T
In the next year or so I'll be boosted on my KA S13. What I am currently trying to figure out is the output power on the KA-T. I currently have a Precision Turbo GT32, 55 trim, with a .48 AR housing, and a AMS turbo manifold. I will soon get Arias 8.8:1 pistons, crower rods, 3in exhaust, and all necessary parts to support the power. If I'm able to know the ballpark area of how much hp I'll be making, this will make it easier for me to find all the supporting parts. I'll probably be at least 1 bar/14psi of boost. This is the first time I'm going boosted, I'll I'm trying to learn as much as I could before I start buying/picking up other parts and tearing into my engine block. Any suggestions will be appriciated.
Thanks
Xander
I have used to search button and googled, It helped a bit but didn't give me a clear answer.

WAY too high of a guess.
...
Givent he mods you listed, and that turbo... @ 14.5-15psi...you'll be lucky to hit 340rwhp.
With cams (BC stage , or JWT)...and a .63 A/R turbine...you'll be at +350rwhp at one bar.
But you'll have a wicked powerband with the stock cams, and the .48 A/R.
...
HOWEVER...I'll guarantee +300rwhp, as long as it's buttoned-up properly.

Thats what I am hoping for, I am definantly doing the job right the first time. Going to get all the supporting mods, so my engine will be pretty much ready for anything that I throw at it. Even a tomato haha jk. I'm not going to slap on the turbo with stock internals and wait for it to blow up, because I don't have the time and money to do something like that. Thanks guys for the info and suggestions. The next thing on my list to get are Arias pistons and BC rods.

I know. There seems to be alot of the manis surfacing lately on KA-T. The manifold sucks, when I get my new camera, I am going to post up pics of what happened to mine in 2.5 months of use.
