For those who've installed coilovers in the rear (or those who know how to), which way does the little "trumpet" end face? That's on the rears, on the bottom where they bolt onto the rear uprights. Does the "trumpet" (on the coilover mounting bracket) face outwards (to the wheel/brake) or does the trumpet face INwards (towards the inside/middle/center of the car)??

edit: I just saw some photos on Overboost.com that suggests that the "trumpet" faces outwards (Faces the brakes) ... so I'm gonna go ahead and install it that way. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> &nbsp;Let me know if anyone has heard otherwise!

Same question. Does the 'trumpet' face in or out?

I'm assuming outwards is correct.

Nice bump...anyway

On the lower bracket of the coilover where it connects to the spindle

There is a washer, shaped like a (

Looking from the rear of the car on left rear coilover, you can either put it on like " ) " (facing the brakes) or " ( " (facing the differential

This is a dirty pic, but you get the idea:

The flared portion of the coilover goes outside, towards the wheel.
