Sorry gata make this quick but umm I have HKS hoses for my front mount and 1 laying is coming off. Im only using stock boost on my SR so I think the other 2 plys should be more then enough. but my clamps broke so I want to get new clamps and since I dont know the first thing about them I just wanted to ask which might be good or bad of if it even matters with stock boost.

(sorry for ebay links)

If its stock boost, 2 ply with regular included hose clamps should be ok

But typically it depends on how its setup

If the pipes aren't aligned straight up with each other, then there will be stress on the coupler/clamp and under boost it will pop off

Also too if the intercooler itself isn't supported, sometimes that stress doesn't help

I have a kit with 2 ply/hose clamps that has worked fine under stock boost for 2 events

I bought new 4 ply couplers + t bolt clamps, but I haven't put them on because the ones I'm using haven't broke/torn/popped off yet

Keep in mind that all t bolt clamps aren't made equal either, sometimes cheapo t bolt clamps will break too if overtorqued

But t bolts typically have more holding force that regular wimpy hose clamps

I wouldn't re-buy HKS 2 ply couplers / hose clamps though, if you're going to spend that money, get some good silicone couplers + quality t bolts
