split fire is good i personally think that Osaka Project Coils are the best each coil has its own amplifire and multi spark... etc but they are also alot more expensive....

never heard of a stagea? lol! o well, splitfires are a good upgrade, but $600? fuck that. took me 10 seconds on yahoo to find em for $400 or less. nengun.com has em for $360.

ebay for $400

split fucked?
Why? not a big fan. you could put the money towards other much more important stuff.
I never had an issue with stock ignition system up to 450whp. Plenty of people have used it to 550.
If you bought into believing its a power upgrade you also must have down syndrome.
Check your stock system and make sure it's grounded properly.
yeah
whatver
If I upgrade I'm going to go to LS1 Coils :boink:

good to know that about nengun. i've never bought from them before, but i fucking hate it when sellers try to rip you in shipping. =( and to shadows- everyone i've talked to who runs a haltech runs ls1 coils and loves em.

Never had a problem with nengun. i got my coilpacks for 440 shipped for a series II RB25DET and have ordered through them twice.

dude, stop with the ls1 and splitfire coils. either use the current coils you have, or source a set of good used ones, or better yet, purchase brand new oem coils, which you can find easily from a few places online.
there is nothing wrong with your stock sr coils, put your money towards other mods. but if you find they are actually faulty, get new/used oem ones.

I have the splitfire on my car. I did have an increase in power, and was able to stabilize my ignition and timing better thru tuning (ApexiPFC). I wouldn't recommend them for stock application because of the cost, but on a fully built set up, they do help.

incorrect
a new coilopack for an RB is 140.00 from nissan or so
its cheaper to buy an entire new set of Splitfires, than OEMs
plus the splitfires arent proce to failing

Osaka Projects? you mean OKADA Projects I have them. EXPENSIVE but saved me gas and smoothed out high RPM choppiness

stock coils have suported over 800 hp on sr's but from having the splitfires also...they are nice, gives you that warm fuzzy feeling from havin a upgraded part. dude for you build good plugs and correct gap along with maybe a ground strap kit and you will have other issues to worry about than ignition.

qutoed for troof, the only way i'd buy them is for the above reason. Nissan coilpacks are ridiculously expensive (i dunno maybe thats just here), you might as well go aftermarket
that being said, i've still only used stock haha

yeah i wasn't saying all new OEM would be cheaper than splitfires, but it doesn't sound like the OPs coils are bad. IF all of my coil packs failed at the same time, i personally would just pickup the splitfires also.
i am aware that the OEM nissan coils would be very costly if purchasing all new ones, but 240sxmotoring appears to be selling oem SR20DET coils for 70 bucks.

the OP just needs to clean up his grounds, and verify his coilpack wiring and probably get new plugs.

I got my splitfire setup from phase2 for 403 shipped... not all that bad considering i dd my s13 beside trackdays and i dont wanna get screwed over by have a 12 year old coil pack go bad... i have like 3 sets of oe coilpacks but id rather replace with new. I drove my car the same say before and after the splitfire install the car runs smoother, pulls stronger, idles steadier. i deem it a worth while upgrade ..... worth the money as much more then buying Ti eghuast Vs. stainless or buying pointless engine bay acc.
