you might have better luck in the fresh alloy Skyline GTR section, as there are a number of u.s. owners there

^what he said.
If you intend to have a track only car that get towed everywhere, ignore everything below.
But, be prepaired to accept the fact its a grey market car that could be taken and you will loose the $$ you put into it. Yes, you can get state titles and VIN numbers.... but the car won't be USDOT approved. Its your choice.
With living like 100miles from canada I have thought about this many times. I know the chances of anything happening are extremely small. Getting it into the US and Title and Plates is the hard part.

Itll all depend on how much of an asshole Kentucky is. Its easy to make a car state legal, making it federal is another thing. I know people in FL who had gone to 5 different county to register gray market cars(Evo I-V, pulsar, primera). They used the JDM vins to register the cars in the system.

If you can find one in Washington State they are ussually fed reg'd but most of the cars I have seen from there have been S13s, and S14s, my buddy has an R32 GT-R and a GTS-T and the GT-R is registered as a 300zx on dealer tags and the GTS-T is registered GREY on dealer tags...if you can afford that route and kentucky doesnt suck about it...then its not a bad way to go...just hope they dont check milage as you can only drive Dealer tag cars for so long. Either way if you want a nice track car...I cant say I have ridden in anything more fun that my friends GTS-T with tien flex types and 8/6pot Rotoras...:bigok:
He kinda got screwed by a company in Atlanta and his RB26 is still under the knife(as it "HAS BEEN" for the past 3 years nearly, GHEY)
Either way Good luck...if its a track car dont stress it and there are certain ways to cirumvent the law and sneak a car in from Canada...my friend also has an S14 aero sitting in limbo in Canada...for the past couple years...and they havent crushed or released the car:-/
Good Luck
