Spy shots: Lightweight Nissan GT-R portends V-spec version

Shots of a track-modified Nissan GT-R have been making the rounds on the web and they may foretell the future revival of a V-Spec version of Godzilla.

The bare-bones GT-R is sporting a full roll cage, a modified front bumper to decrease engine temps and a lower ride height that drops the coupe over a set of Volk TE-37s on track-friendly rubber.

The rumors we've heard peg the V-Spec coming to market sometime in 2009, but precisely what modifications will be made is still up in the air.

i dont see them producing this car..... im sorry but the interior is to stripped. i think anybody that would want the car that stripped would probably spend the money on something a little better.....

but then again alot of people around this area are buying up the Nismo Z (the base model car with crap sound system, cloth seats and no lux..) but we'll see.

I couldn't see Nissan not using the new tt v6 in the vspec. Either way it should be an amazing car and Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a nice used one down the line.
