Yep, you connect two wires from the KA harness(I think) to the SR harness - it's been a few years since I've done the swap, but the HeavyThrottle FAQ is what I followed and it was spot on. Make sure you insulate the joints well with heatshrink and electrical tape.

You can also connect the brown to the brown wire for the o2 sensor.

If you have the complete SR body harness, you can clip off the connector on the body harness side of the SR and clip off the connector on the ECU side of the KA.

Then you can take the plugs inside and have more room to solder. Both your SR ECU harness and your KA body harness will remain intact. You just have to plug them into your conversion harness.

You do not have to change the fuseboxes because all the accessories will remain the same. ECU and fuel pump will be the same as well. The only difference is engine sensors and O2 heater wires.

Depending on the shell, you may have some leftover connectors at the body. Anything not specified need not be connected. You can even track down the wires and remove them from the body harness if you want to.

Make yourself a continuity tester and get an ecu plug diagram, if you choose to hook up the consult port, or swap ecu's or have to troubleshoot, life just got easier

i rewired my harness in the summer following the frsport.com guide and heavythrottle.com guide. both are accurate and work just fine.

you will be using the SR engine harness, but you'll be mating it to the chassis harness near the battery.

the frsport.com guide is very thorough, follow it, you won't have any problems.

and no, you do not have to change any fuse boxes.

but i do see what you're saying about connecting like 2 thick wires into one thin wire. yes, you do have to do this, but if you know how to solder, it won't be messy and will be very neat. get yourself some heat shrink tubing and a lighter.

DO NOT use electical tape or crimp connectors when you're rewiring your engine harness, use heat shrink tubing. do a clean job the first time so gremlins don't manifest in the future.

I had both the blue red and black red on the sr harness conected to the black red on the ka harness just like the frsport diagram says and the car will start but wont turn off when the key is removed. If I remove the black red from the sr side the car will start and turn off but wont rev past 2500rpms. Anyone got any ideas.
