If anyone is running a custom intake manifold on their KA-T.  What size/parameters did you get and who did it.  I'm looking to go turbo but I would like to start getting rid of bottlenecks in the system (ex. exhaust, intake, etc...)  Yeah any help would be great.  Thanks.

I don't know a whole lot about the performance characteristics or whatever of the stock manifold, but I do know the long runner design is the most ideal setup for a street turbo, giving more low end torque while letting the turbo take care of the high end power.  A short runner design would probably be good for a maximum effort engine that rarely ventures below 4500 rpm, but for street/autox I'd stick with the long runners.  You could always match the ports and have it internally polished/honed and get rid of the secondary butterflies.  If you really wanted to change something, you may want to look into ways of streamlining the transition from plenum to runners.  Help any?

Yeah, thanks.  I was wondering about it for a while.  Since no aftermarket one exists for the KA's.  Hmmm.  Does it make much of a difference anyways?
