Want to confim compression test....

Ok here it is I hope it is good.. I think it is

Alright so I just rolld over to 100k on my 95sx se. And I wanted to test my cdompression.. so I went out and got the tester did what the box told me to do and here is what I got.

1st Piston was 182 compression
2nd Piston was 183 compression
3rd Piston was 182 compression
4th Piston was 183 compression

Good thing is they are all so damn close.... kinda weard but thats what it said. I tested each 4 times.... I dont have a book so I cant look up the KA24DE compression ratio.

Just curious, what would cause them to not all be the same?  What causes compression to rise or fall as your car gets old?  Seals?  Physically worn down metal?

Normal should be near 179
Minimum should be no less than 149 or was it 139... anyways fix it if its even close to the minimum.

most common would be wear on the piston rings. &nbsp;others include, bent valve, bad valve seat, broken ring, worn rings, hole in the piston, hole in the cylinder wall... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Compression normally goes down over time, not sure how it could go up with out doing something to it.

Carbon build-up on the piston domes and on the valves will sometimes cause compression to rise over time. &nbsp;Those are really good numbers.

Is that valve cleaner bad for my car?... Should I not worry about the carbon builup for another year or so?

I am very glad My engine is doing well... Now that I stoped driving crazy red lining it and stuff. It should last a while.

Just beat the f&ck out of it anyway. &nbsp;Here's why:

It's fun
If it blows up, rebuild it for boost oe high compression
If it blows up, buy an SR20
If it blows up, buy another one for $300.
It's fun to beat on cars
