I have a friend that has an sr20det in his 92 fastback and it is running like garbage. At around 3000 rpm when cruising it hesitates and the rpms bounce a little then with a little more gas it seems okay. it also seems to have some sort of boost leak. its slow as hell. I know this motor was strong because it ran 14.1 with stock boost and light mods. but then after he got reffed it sat for about a year.
Any help would be awesome.

ok the cars was ran with a ka24e while the sr sat for a year. Everything was plugged as to not let anything in the motor. We have used fuel injector cleaner and changed the fuel filter to a z32 one. The spark plugs were replaced and I am thinking that may be the problem along with the maf because the spark plugs were bought by my friend at kragens. They are supposed to be for and se-r sentra and he re gapped them but I would imagine that the ones for the turbo motor shoulder be different. Shouldnt they be colder plugs? I am unsure if the fuel pump has been replaced.
Thanks Guys

Happend to my Sr also! It was my fuel pump! I would give it gas, and around 3000rpms it would stumble, and hesitate, like it didnt wanna go anymore! Tell him to get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump! Did the trick!

yup sounds like you need to upgrade your fuel pump if you havent already. If not might be your fuel pressure regulator.
