Stolen coupe

damn it guys what days are we living in when my project coupe gets stolen form the front of my house in the middle of the day. it doesnt even run, it has no motor or trans, has a silvia front with no headlights. Let me tell you guys the little i know my aunt comes into my room and tells me if i was getting my car towed i say no and get up to go check whats the hell she is talking about in the 30 seconds it took her to walk to my room and it took me to walk outside my car is gone. my neighbor asks if i was looking for the tow truck and she tells me what direction it went in. i called the cops and went the same way the tow truck went and found nothing. now my project car is probably getting chopped up and the parts i had in the trunk are porbably being sold for next to nothing because the idiots dont know what they are. i filled a report but i doubt i will find anything.beware of 80's looking tow trucks that say not for hire painted grey and black.

cusco rucas, tanabe sustec 7's, and brick headlights. my buddy club exhaust was still on the car, and so were some automters eilver guages, i had my nismo copper mix clutch and light wwight flywheel in there also. im pretty sure it was some of the lowlifes that pick up cars and just go junk them. in all honesty what i want most is the shell. i put in a lot of work in the body to get it ready for pain which i just bought last week. i also had 5 lug rear hubs in the trunk

no pics of what it looks like now i have pics of what it look like a few months ago, but now the driver side door and quarter panel are primered blak and the pass quarter has a lil bit of exposed bando because of the body work i was doind and the rear have about 1/2 fender pull. i just hope te wheels fall of since it only had 2 lug nuts on each rim and they were only hand tightened

no they were not current the car was registered non-op. but they police dept. here in south gate which is where i live did not tow it they wouldn't, i know most of them. i already filed a theft report all i caan do now is hope i get my car back.

Turning into? Where have you been? Its been this way for at least a year or more. Now its just sliding into a much worse situation than before. It sucks. Can't get the cars insured for the proper amount from 98% of the Insurance companies out there. Cops looking at the cars like they are a ticket waiting to happen. Kids to poor to buy their parts stealing peoples cars for their parts. Thats it in a nutshell.

The way it is around here and I was told this by a cop is that if you don't report your car stolen in the first 5 minutes of it being gone its like 90% chance you wont recover it. Just because we are so close to Mexico.

Although the neighbor towing thing is highly unlikely, esp if it hasnt been in the street for a long period of time without moving. Not to mention the truck said "Not for hire" right on it, most trucks have the company they work for on it. It wouldnt hurt to go door to door and ask any neighbors if they saw anything.

yeah i asked my neighbors one saw the same thing my aunt saw, and i know for a fact it was not towed for any parking issues because the police department goes through 2 tow truck companies onee bing orange and the other being blue. none are grey and they all use newer model tow trucks

most repo man use new towtrucks or even pick up trucks with modified bed. this was and early 80's pick truck and they did not repo it they stole it the police department says that they get cases like this on average of one every 2 weeks, and that its not likely i'll recover it. im looking to replace ansd start over once again so if you have or know someone who has a cheap coupe let me know

Over on 240sxforums, this happened to a guy as well. They tow guys wore blue dickies uniforms and even talked to a neighbor while getting the 240 on the flat bed. Broad daylight!

Or how about the 3 240's that got taken at the top of GMR (canyon here in LA), at gun point!!

i've actually heard about evo''s hondas and nissan getting stolen up there pretty much anything and guys im giving up on my car and i will only be building one more and it wont ever see the street track only. this shit has gotten rediculous. my car and then a week later a vert like 15 miles from me. what an x-mas gift right
