Hi guys I have an s14 with a redtop, currently everything is stock except for a t28 turbo upgrade. Here is what is happening. The car starts an idles great but once it goes around 2500 rpm it starts bogging and no power.
-Here is what I checked
Any boost leaks by spraying it with carb cleaner
ignition timing
fuel pressure and fuel pressure regulator
cleaned maf
-I replaced spark plugs
I have hooked up the nissan consult scanner and it says it is running lean. I dont know what to do and I am afraid of ruining my motor. This problem just started on its own. Any ideas?
BTW how can I check MAF??

you bolted a t28 turbo to an engine that is tuned for a t25. this turbo has the ability to force MOAR air into the engine. now with this larger turbo you've bolted on that can force more air, have you done anything to your fuel system to match the larger volume of air coming into the intake?
this won't fix your problem, but you should definitely have a higher volume fuel pump.
you either need to get an AFC (air/fuel controller) to tune with to tune your a/f ratios, this will allow your engine to run a little more stable.
maybe a cheaper route would be an adjustable FPR, but i'm no tuning expert.
your engine probably idles fine, but once it hits boost, it dies because you're way too lean, because too much air is coming in and not enough fuel.
also do you have a boost gague? if so, do you have a boost controller? what are you currently boosting?

consult was nissan's pre OBD standard diagnostic tool.
you really don't need it as you can check CELs right on the ECU and you have zilvia to tell you what is wrong with your engine.
i myself am pretty impressed the OP has one.
the only useful information i've found about the CONSULT is here:

have you just let the car sit at idle for about 20 minutes? my suby was having this same problem and it turned out to be a malfunctioning O2 sensor.

there are times when my shift knob bobbles like crazy and the same for my motor .. i foudn out that when i play around with the ignitor it stops ..and then it continues on again...since the ignitor is just hanging im assumin the wires get loose and give me a bad connection causing my car to idle or run like crap....for example it sounds like a subi

See here is the weird part, It was running like a champ before but after leaving it for a couple of days without driving it now I have this problem.
Consult is a very usefull tool that lets u do alot more than just pull codes, I use it cause I work at a dealership.
The consult says that it is running lean?
What is lean?
Do you have a wideband?

When its "Bobbling" its more than likely miss-firing, obiliviouly is a wiring issue if you mess with the ignitor chip and stops you got a short or a bad ground, Make sure everything is properly gounded/connected,
Maybe combonation of broken Motor/Tranny Mounts
In this situation it your MAF if it wont go above 2,500RPM's and falling on its face.
Thats a $350+ ignitor chip Id secure that some where before it gets destroyed

Somwhat true but a T-28 wouldnt make it run that bad.
Im running a T-28 on Stock ECU, MAF, and Injectors, @ 1.0Bar DD with no problems for 6 months now.
Sure a Z32 MAF and some 550's with a Tune would be good, But You can DD/ Race a T-28 with out problems, on a Stock SR depending on the condition of everything.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I found out whats wrong, not right now, but never post it, future members may find this information useful.
The problem was spark plugs, I bought new NGK and the car is running GREAT!
