View Full Version : Spark Plug Heat Range
Okay, I was looking at some Denso platinum plugs and they say if you have a non-SE 240sx, to use the "3134" number plugs. These have a heat range code of 16...then it says if you have a SE 240sx, use the "3135" number plugs which have a heat range code of 20. I thought there was no engine differences between the SE and the non-SE so why 2 different heat ranges? Which one is the true OEM heat range for the 240sx, the 16 series or the 20 series...sorry but I'm totally uneducated when it comes to spark plugs so any help will be appreciated.

Hey, thanks for the info <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Well I see that NGK doesn't sell a different heat range for the SE and non-SE like Denso does...You're right about Denso having a useless site. LOL, I need to email them and ask them "why do you sell a different plug for the SE and non-SE 240sx when it has the same engine?" just to see what kind of response I'd get back. I'm sure it'd be worth a laugh.
