Parking Violation Ticket???"stupid cop"

I was visiting a friend of mine with my buddy that lived in Santa Ana and i parked on the street right infront of his house. Just got out and talked to him for at least 3-5 minutes and a cop out of no where rolls by checking other cars. At first I thought he was checking for stolen cars (since its santa ana) he passed my car and came to a complete stop and got out. I asked if there was a problem thinking it was my Apex N1 exhaust(and we are litterally 5 feet away from my car). He didn't say a word and after he was almost done he asked whos house it was, my friend rose his hand and said mine. The idiotic cop was being a smart ass and said to me "I guess your friend does not like you" and we then knew it was a parking violation and i asked if i can move my car the cop again says "oops to bad i just finished writing the ticket" and places it on my window then drives off.

I did not know about this stupid needing a parking permit issue
There were no signs
I asked politely if I can just move it to the Driveway

Is this fightable, WHAT WOULD U DO??

It's Santa Ana... But if there are no signs, I would fight it. Unless it's only a few bucks, then it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

dude i live in santa ana as well i was visiting my buddy on residential homes ( u know like the rich houses in santa ana (yes theyre are rich houses lol) )
but yeah anywho same shit happened 2 one of my buddies 5 min we went back outside and got a ticket my friend forgot to say since thyere residential homes they need to offer a ticket and place it on their car stating the date and the license plate number
but yeeah i think ur ticket is like 32$ - 38$

Elemeno...if it is a city law, no need for the signs. I highly doubt that it would be something that would be worth fighting. The cop also had a point...his friend lived there...he should have said something to him.

240sx_LE~ If they want to they can 'overlook' it. But laws are laws and rules are rules...if everyone forgot their permit then how would they know who belonged there and who didnt? How would they know who paid for parking? I know I would be pissed if I didn't have a parking spot that I paid for and the other cars didnt...

One time, no wait a few times I was speeding and a cop stopped me and gave me a ticket. Isn't that jacked up the cop stopped me and ticketed me for breaking the law. Damn cops, so so cruel.:keke:

I dont really know dude. Sometimes its best to pay the ticket other times its best to go to court for it. If he doesnt show up you dont pay. Highly doubtful he will show up for a stupid parking ticket. Then again some cops, not all, are F'd Up

Its always a pain int he ass to fight traffic tickets because it takes such a long time to get results and submit them, if there were no signs, you can take pics of the area, showing there were no signs submit them with the payment of the ticket, to the adress indicated on the ticket, and also request a hearing(appointment) you can show proof of no signs, or whatever esle you have, and you will be let off,
only thing is, that after all this time calling back and forth/work you probably spent more money on gas, and stuff, then the ticket actually cost(40 bucks I am assuming)?

Officer Vega is worse in Fountain Valley. There is very little to NO parking in my housing area. I think my girl has received almost (if not more) 300 dollars worth in parking tickets.

I saw the guy once too. My gf left in the morning, walked home, but I chated with my friends first and I saw a parking enforcement guy come fly down and he goes to the same direction as my house. A minute later, he comes flying back out with a pissed off face.

Boo yeah, he missed my gf by like 5 minutes, but she parked in "real" spot anyways.

We now know the estimated time Mr.Douchebag arrives so we can dodge him. :)

I completely agree that "rules are rules" and "laws are laws". At the same time one must understand the reason that laws are created is to maintain order and peace within society. Hence the term "peace officer". By cop speaking to you in anyway other than that of respect, in essence he is actually NOT doing his job. He is creating turmoil between civilians and the law. I agree with him giving you the parking ticket but not his tone and lack of understanding. Cops like this that exude this type of attitude on such petty infraction posses the same mind set as the politicians and pigs that rape us of our true american freedoms by receiving payoffs and special interest "donations".

This Cop and others like him should be castrated to prevent any future filth.

If there is no signs, take pictures, write a letter saying there are no signs you wont be paying it and mail it to them. If there are signs.. go pay it in pennies : D

there prolly are signs posted at the beginning of the block. santa ana is filled with streets that have days you cant park for street sweeping, and residential area that you can only park with permits you were just outta luck that day. pay the fine and move on.

im sorry to tell u but not true.. there has to be signs stating from A to B where u cant park.. my mothers a lawyer and if u fought that ticket and took pictures of where the incident occured.. the judge whould lean towards you..:naughty:

I'm willing to bet that the little 17yr old is not gonna call the cops up and say:"Hey, I just 'slid with my welded diff ' on the streets. I know its wrong, I know I could've lost control and 'slid' into someone's property, or even someone. Therefore, I want to let you know, that I was involved in wreckless driving, and I got away with it. Could you please send someone over to give me a ticket. Oh yeah, I really did it out of spite, because I was issued a ticket that I probably deserved, so could you also let the officer know that I deserve an anal cavity search. Thanks, and have a pleasant day!"
