i have apex n1's on my car right now but the rear spring is cracked. i can buy a brand new set of megans for $500 or i can keep trying to find a place to rebuild my apex's.
for those that have used megan's, how do you like them? do you think its worth me buying? or should i rebuild my apex?

replace the spring, or better yet, buy a little bit stiffer springs (9kg/7kg maybe).
why do they need a rebuild?
is the strut blown also?
N1s are way better than megans
just get new springs should be less than $500

check out swift replacement coilover springs. If the only thing wrong with the coilover is the cracked spring, just replace the spring. You should be able to find replacement springs pretty easy. As long as the height and dimensions are correct, they will work.

well i think more than one of my apex are blown to. i bought the car not to long ago with the apex on them and soon to find out that i have a cracked spring. there set to the softest right now but im pretty sure 2 are blown also. so i would want to rebuild them all.

I've heard a lot of bad things about megan coilovers, but personally i was satisfied. They actually ride pretty nice, havent had any damage to them yet! Good luck man!

megans are fine. You wont get it that cheap tho...
They usually go for $900 out the door on ebay.

JIC, H&R & Swift all offer custom made coilover springs. A full set of 4 usually runs around $370-$400, but you can buy each spring individually from JIC. Don't know about the others. You specify diameter, length and spring rate when ordering, measure up your current springs to get the dimensions.
I would keep the N1's rather than get Megans. You've got awesome dampers already, now you've got an excuse to get custom spring rates!

I have also heard a lot of bad things about them. I have Megans on my s14, and i have had no problems. They ride pretty smooth.

Who cares how low megans can get.
Because you'll be slapping your car all over the place because the valving/damping sucks.

I've always thought the megans were pretty good for a cheap ass budget coilover. For the price, its pretty nice.
Yea, it could be stiffer, but thats why Swift is around. Get replacement springs from Swift. Great shit, even greater rates.
PS. Best REP ever. hahaha. fucking mudkip.
