Don't sell to this clown.
Cliffnotes:
Guy posted in the WTB section that he needed an S14 spiral cable and center hub attachment, I responded. He replies back several days later and I've already got the cable on Ebay, but I end the auction and we agree on $50 for both items. They show up, he replies back quickly, insistent that the cable is damaged (it's possible, I can't test it, UPS could have done it, who knows) and demands a replacement immediately, like I have them growing out of my ass. I ask him to give me a couple of days to see if I can come up with one since I don't have them laying around like candy, but before that time period has elapsed he's demanding again for an immediate replacement and threatening legal action. I tell him I've located one and am waiting on it, he says forget and to refund ALL his money now before it gets ugly. Doesn't matter that he has another part I sent him and I paid shipping costs, some how I'm the one who deserves to take a hit. He opened a claim against the sale as well and now refuses to respond, even after receiving a partial refund (enough to cover the damaged part only, no more).
Things happen, parts get lost or held up, or show up not in the same condition, you can't always control that. A shred of understanding that goes a LONG way in dealing with others when you're buying and selling. This fool has no concept of that and cannot grasp how to deal with people professionally.
Save the hassle and avoid him.

If anyone else has problems with this user, let me know - I have no problem with keeping this kind of person out of the marketplace.

UPDATE:
Turns out because the kid opened a paypal claim, there's no way to dispute it since the part was already received. Got to love paypal's BS. To keep from locking up my friend's account permanently, he had to refund the full amount that was paid. So, dude got two free parts and I paid shipping out of pocket for them.
Totally not cool.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Chris Wealch. Most people in this forum do not know me very well because I am not a post whore. Unless you are from San Diego, you probably have not ever met me.
My screen name is(was) cwtt. I am an avid car enthusiast. I have a HUGE reputation in the Supra world. In fact if you were to search supraforums.com under my name you would see that I have thousands of technical posts and have done tons of high dollar transactions with members there. Including the transactions exceeding $40,000++ buying/selling Supras. So I am not here to scam somebody over a $50 spiral cable.
Unfortunately, because ProjectRDM has a ton of posts and apparently some nut swingers following his bandwagon, everybody was quick to judge me with out even hearing my side of the story. I was banned with out the ability to even respond with what really happened. My friend Ryan, (Screen name is: ryceboy_124) can vouch for me that I am a stand up adult and would not rip anybody off. He will tell you that I was scammed and he has personally seen the broken spiral cable that was sent to me.
ProjectRDM has admitted that, “he replies back quickly, insistent that the cable is damaged (it's possible, I can't test it, UPS could have done it, who knows).” So he knows that the piece could be bad.
To sum up this transaction, I paid for the spiral cable on October 27th. After I found out it was broken I asked for either my money back or a new one. Russ beat around the bush and could never find a replacement so I asked for my money back. He kept saying that he sent me a partial refund, but I never received any money. I emailed him repetitively to have my money refunded with no response. Weeks went by and nothing happened. I filed a complaint with paypal and was denied as you can see below.
Here is proof that ProjectRDM sold me a broken spiral cable, lied about refunding my money, and then went on to zilvia.net and tried to destroy my reputation by saying that I was the scammer. But as you can see, I was the one scammed.
Also note that I did a quick search and found that many others were scammed by him as well.
The following people have all been also scammed, mislead, or deceived by ProjectRDM (I believe also known as R240NA I believe).

I would appreciate it if the moderator would at least unblock my screen name cwtt, so that I can at least respond to the false accusations.
Cliff notes:
I was scammed by ProjectRDM and I have posted proof in the pictures above. He then proceeded to falsely accuse me of being the scammer and everyone assumed he was in the right because he has a ton of posts. When in fact ProjectRDM has scammed not only me, but other members on this board as well (see names above for proof). I still have not received a single penny back from him.
If any moderators or ProjectRDM would like to get a hold of me, you can call me on my cell phone (858) 922-0679. I am not a keyboard warrior and I will not result to childish name calling and bickering over the internet. I am too old for that.
I was the victim of a scam here. All I want is my money back or a working spiral cable.

I can vouch for Chris as I was there when we installed the broken cable. I do not post much often here as I just purchased my 91 240sx back in April and should be near completion in about a month or so. Anyways, we are both car enthusiasts and Chris has spent more money than I can think of on his Supra alone. Anyone else running VPro?! Just proving a point that Chris is willing to spend money on parts...and good parts at that. Like myself, he is an honest guy (he has to be in order to have a TOP SECRET clearance...does the seller have one?!) and wouldn't scam anyone on anything...especially for a measly $50. Its the 'PRINCIPALITIES' people.
He, like everyone else just wants what they paid for...parts they buy in working condition. Chris has already proven his point with the snapshots taken from his Paypal account. Lets see the sellers proof on providing a refund. I'm sure this will not happen cause he has no proof. What else does chris need to do to get his point across to the seller and Moderators? Doesn't seem very fair if you ask me. Chris just wants a working part or a refund. I'm sure he will ship the broken crap back if need be.
Also...what happened to abiding by Moderator rules? As you can see, it clearly states:
"Private Sellers Provide your experiences with individuals here. No flaming, accusations, or complaints! Be fair and objective. Make it info you'd like to see before you make a purchase."
The seller clearly breaks the rules by stating, "Dont sell to this Clown." What comes around goes around people...remember that.

I love this shit, this is why I don't sell to people I don't know.
For starters, if you're going to tell your side of the story, do it right. You informed me the cable was bad, demanded a new one, and I agreed I would do my best to find one, and to give me a few days. You agreed, but then filed the claim the very next day and demanded a refund then. How did I beat around the bush about finding one in less than 24 hours? I told you then, spiral cables don't grow on trees and I can't shit them out like a factory, you got the last one I had, I would love to stock shit like that but the fact is I haven't even bought an S14 since August. You seemed fine with waiting for me to come up with one but filed the claim immediately, confirming that you were done waiting and did not want a replacement. I then replied that I had a line on one and would have it in a few days, you refused a replacement and just wanted a refund. Now you're in here suggesting a replacement to settle this, but you clearly did not want a replacement, otherwise you would have accepted my offer and given me the time to find one.
Secondly, the friend you sent payment to, Bill, has since moved to Indiana, he was in the process of moving before all this. I can only speak from his emails that you had filed a claim, and that the money was pulled back from his account. In knowing how paypal works, the funds were held in limbo, so neither party had hands on it, until the claim was finished. My last email to Bill was "Fuck him, refund it" because again, YOU CLEARLY DID NOT WANT THE REPLACEMENT CABLE ANYWAY. How fucking hard is that to read? I paid an extra $50 for the last remaining month's rent to Bill for our shop, so I am right back out the money. I'm certain he's either waiting to verify he won't get fucked, since it's clear what type of person you are, or hasn't gotten to it yet.
The bottom line here is this, you demanded a FULL refund from day one, without allowing me time to resolve the issue, and without realizing that even though the cable may have been bad, you still bought another part and I paid for shipping. So, how is it remotely fair that you get a full refund? You have another part (retails for $17.58 on courtesy's site, not really all that important) and I paid the $12.46 UPS Ground shipping charge. So, how is it that you feel you deserve the entire $50 back?
Exactly my point. Anyone else would have given me time to resolve the issue like I asked, and then agreed upon a difference in return if a resolution could not have been met. You did neither of those (refused to do them actually) and are now backpeddling to cover your ass. Hardly a scam by any means. I don't see myself flying off to Costa Rica with your $50, do I?
As for the list of other buyers who have had issues with me, ALL of them have been resolved to my knowledge, or at the very least communication continued and an understanding was met. Don't try and sling mud back when you're complaining about receiving it in the first place.

Your story is very confusing. First you say he got 2 free parts then you say he bought a second part and you paid for shipping. So which is it? Secondly, if you are in or running a business...you should know that you will not know everyone you sell to. A 'business' doesn't work like that...at least if you want to make money. You sell shit to people who will pay for what you have for sale. You may be asking yourself who the hell I am. I am a 27 year old IT professional who bought a $430k home at the age of 25 on my own. I am also one of Chris' friends. We met while I was working a contract position with the Department of Defense...where Chris currently works. So ou see, we are both young professionals who could care less about $50 but like anyone else on this planet, we do not like being made a fool of and although the amount of money is so mi-nute...the main concern is you sold Chris a part that doesn't work. On another note...Chris wasn't the one to go crying to the moderators to lock out your account, etc...thats just childish. The claim was denied by PayPal and no money was refunded to Chris just as you stated in your post..."So, how is it that you feel you deserve the entire $50 back?". How can your friend get skrewed if PayPal closed the dispute in your friends favor?
I am an avid PayPal user and know how their system works. Its best to open a claim before the 30 day grace period when an issue arises than to wait trusting the other person's 'word' and get skrewed over in the end. Its called common sense. Opening a claim is just a way to have an issue disputed with records through the 3rd party (PayPal).
Anyways, enough pointing fingers and bitching like little school girls. I hope the bickering can end and a mature resolution can come of this without name calling and pointing fingers between the 2 of you. I would think a partial refund of half the amount isn't too much to ask for, especially if the part that was received was in non-functional condition which I confirm. I'm done with this thread. It would be great if you could contact the moderators to unlock / re-enable Chris' original account as well. Thanks.

You can't read. Nowhere did I say anything about giving away parts. Your friend bought and paid for two parts, claimed one was damaged, and demanded a refund for both parts, in full. So by receiving a refund, he gets both parts, damaged or not, for free. I didn't know reading comprehension was an issue with a 27yr old IT professional.
I am not a business, if I was I would have a fully functioning website that runs by itself, without me scanning WTB ads and trying to sell through numerous channels. This is merely a hobby of mine, one which takes a lot of my time but also gives rewards as I can help other enthusiasts in need. But often times the enthusiast clearly does not agree with or comply to the selling practices I use, so they're called out for it.
I also did not 'cry' to anyone to lock his account, that was a decision made by a moderator, not me. I didn't ask for it, didn't even suggest it, I simply made a note to other sellers of an issue I had. If the moderator, admin, or site owner wants to take action, that's their call, not mine. Don't put words in my mouth or assume anything when you clearly don't know the story. If you have a problem with how your friend was handled, take it up with the people who took action against him. I have no control over how this site runs.
Finally, your suggestion of a partial refund is indeed the best option, but it was one that was declined when it was first offered, before all this blew up. A mature adult would realize that by attacking me (opening a claim without first giving the chance of resolution) it only cements the poor and childish attitude they were assumed to have.
Well it has been months now and Russ has taken my money and stopped communication with me. I have now sent him several emails with no response. And for the record I only asked for a refund of my broken part. But he seems to twist things around and provide no evidence or proof for anything that he says.
I have provided my cell phone number and he has my email. I have not heard a thing from him.
So learn from my mistake and never purchase anything from this scammer.
Chris
Below is my last two emails I sent to him.

Russ,
I still have not recieved an answer from you. A, b, or c?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Russ,
I want my $50, but your friend took it and wont refund it. I have proved it. So YOU can send me $$ or send me a sprial cable. Paypal wont refund my money as you have seen and have already lied about. But the ball is in your court. I don't appreciate you calling me a scammer and lying about the refund.
Either:
A) You personally send me a partial refund for the broken spiral cable
B) You personally send me the full $50 and I will ship back the other piece
C) You send me a new sprial cable within a reasonable amount of time
And for the record you better straighten things out with your paypal buddy, because he has the $50 as I have proved by posting pictures.
Chris
