well one of the safest ways is to find a certified/bonded transport company. I have seen some that offer fully covered transportation from point A to point B. So basically they put your car or truck in the back of a big 24 wheeler and off they go. Its a bit pricy but if you want to make sure that the car makes it without a scratch and within a reasonable amount of time, then i suggest this option. There are also companies that will drive your car for you from point A to point B. But those are for the most part local deliveries, or within the same state. But if you are a super baller you can always hire a cargo plane to fly your car for you from point A to point B. They usually fly into a local small airport. I have done it before with my motorcycle when i went overseas for a touring trip. But it was bank to get my motorcycle to go with me. But hey it was worth it for my trip. I hope this helps a bit.

buy one that you can drive/haul back. there are always 240's for sale on the ny/ct/nj/pa region.

if you get one shipped, you will end up paying more for shipping costs than what the actual car is probably worth.

heres the rundown on my problem .
- i found a 240 on zilvia which is located in cali im from ny long island .
i paypaled 500$ to hold the car and i also got a shipping company to shipp it via trialer which i made a deposite on.
i still owe $ for the rest of the car and shipping. i dont wanna get screwed out of a few thousand with nothin on my end. the seller doesnt want me to know where the car or he is located with out all the money first .

kid dont sound like a scammer but we dont know each other from a hole in the wall .

ANY SUGGESTIONS ?????????????????

you got yourself into a mess.

i can understand why your homosexual seller doesn't want you to know the location because of all the thefts in cali.

but i really can't understand your last post.

i know a few guys on here can make a few good suggestions, but first pull yourself together and explain clearly what your problem is.

Tell him to write a damn bill of sale but not to send you a title till after you pay him the rest of the money. I would be able to sleep better at night knowing that the seller and I see eye to eye about that $500 and its on paper. Personally, Id take that $1k back from the shipping company and use that money to fly out of to cali and pick the car up myself. 4 Days easy drive across the country wouldnt be too bad as long as the car is in good driving condition.

People on here might know the guy, does he have a good rep on zilvia? I would personally drive the car but I know a guy that got a Z from FL and had to get all sorts of shit done just to get it home to MA. You can have a neutral party like a law firm or something hold the funds until the carrier certifies that they have the car, and thats all documented so neither can screw each other

you didn't reply to some ad about making an internet payment to get the car shipped to you right? that would most likely be a scam

doubting it but just checking to make sure

Obviously if he wont tell you where he is located there is something wrong.
there should never be ANYTHING fishy in a business transaction!
if there is, stay away.
he should tell you exactly where he is located, and phone number, maybe a website/myspace, whatever ....so you can have some sure way of reaching him, and have some backup!
I am sure if he tells you the adress you would be able to find someone from zilvia to go check the car out!
shit if he lives by me, ILL GO, just paypal me the gas money!
