Well like the title says i am having the toughest time deciding on what wheel to get becuase:

a) too afraid it will look bad
b) can't find decent wheels at a decent price
c) cant find decent wheels at aren't knock offs

Given those three criterias I have narrowed it down to these wheels in 17" around 8"-9" staggered or non. The car is an s13, dark green. Pics found here: http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=305801

1) Bronze CR KAI bronze in
2) XD-9's in dark silver
3) 5Zigen Fno1 in either silver/flat black/bronze
4) gram light 57c
5) 5Zigen GN+

I am sure there is more, but i am so frikkin fickle that I cant even manage to remember what i want!!! :duh: . Anyways i know these are the "popular" options, and i know there are tons of options i missed. So post up some wheels you guys think are your personal favs on an s13. Btw i only intend to autoX the car and im not really into stretching the tires...all about the function i guess

And before you guys say it yes i have lurked through every picture thread there is, so much so that i forget what i look at.

what is your budget? if i were in your shoes i'd go for a set of used TE37's. and definitely go for stagger. the 5zigen GN's are pretty tyte too tho.

color/offset/width of your choice?

Im not afraid to spend on a good pair since it will last longer and look better than a knock off, plus resale is higher =D

Silver looks the best I think....offset/width I couldnt tell you maybe some of the "wheel" sluts will shine some light on that or go look at the thread.

We will have those wheels available through our company by Feb 08 along with a whole lot of other parts from japan. Those are wide fenders yes. The car use to belong to Driving Sports.

5zigen ZR520's in bronze or chrome silver would look good. conservative offsets though(not always a terrible thing)

I dont forsee wide fenders in the immediate future. Do they offer other offsets?

XD-9... a slammed car sitting on those wheels always looks hot.

But a 4x4 on those wheels... Not so much, and from the looks of those pictures, that's what we're working with here.

My vote goes to the Gram Lights out of that list. Gold on green looks dope.

19" ferrari rims for 1200 shipped, you would be the first, wonder how badass it would look. Is that an origanal idea or what? Almost want to keep it to myself.

Ah the bolt pattern is 5 x 108 aka not right for our cars. Those would not work. FAIL

My bad I didn't even think to check, too bad cause 1200 is a steal for those rims. Mustang cobra r rims fit nice and are cheap, not origanal though.

XD9's don't look right unless you run the big boys in the rear. I would stay away from the 5Zigen and CR Kai's as it seems like everyone in the world has or has had them. The 57c sound like the best choice to me.

Im down with the TE37's as well if not those then also the SuperAdvan SA3R's.

Thats actually what i have on my S13 hatch, the SA3R's that is. Not the TE37's.

Anyways i hope these pics help. The SA3R's come in many different color options.

ok so I couldnt get a pic of my car up with the SA3R's but you can just google it or something. They look pretty sweet to me.

Quite the contrary CR KAI's will become a classic. They are not that common and definitely not as common as cookie cutter FN0C 1's (5zigen). 57c's I feel are played and are more common than CR KAI's, imo. If you want dope Gram lights get 57 Maximums in Face 3 . My Two current favorite wheels are CR KAI's and 57 Maximums. They are like a Junior TE37's and they are affordable. Relatively speaking.

SA3r's are super played and are hard to get in good offsets.

I'm just going by pictures I've seen on here and other sites but there seems to be a ton of CR Kai's and I can't even recall seeing 57Cs on anything. But like I said that's just based on pictures off of websites. It could be an entirely different situation on the streets in the US.

You should get my Work VS-Editions (17X8/9 +5/18). I'm selling them with 6 tires and 4 15mm spacers. I've got my eyes on a new set of wheels. I'm not shipping them with tires though. I haven't made a thread in the FS section yet so if you want more info PM me.

Well to be honest with you. I would not go by what people have on their cars on a site. Especially a world wide site. Stuff is probably spread across larger areas than you realize i.e. less per capita than it appears.
On top of that unless the wheel is extremely played and not that special to boot (read FNO's!! lol) than I do not care if others have them.

Its all about how it looks on your car and if you really like it. I love CR KAI's my boy Scott aka 240Falkon wound up getting exactly what I was planning on.
At the time he did I bought a brand new set of 57 Maximums Face 3 in Flat Black. The reason was Flat black 57 Max's look dope on my car. Am I jealous of Scott? slightly. LOL Though I love my wheels and how they look on the car so I am very happy none the less.

but the 57m's seem way more rare around the so cal area. i can see 240's and civics and scions all running kai's it seems! plus the baby te theory is what sold me on them!

Buy my Work Meister S1! They are 17X8/9 gloss black. Since you are in jersey you could take a look if you want, I'm in Passaic County.

Otherwise i am partial to the CR Kai. I am not usually a fan of non-lipped wheels but they are an exception for me.

Advans are art in motion. They were voted top 10 best wheels of all time by a Primedia magazine I hate alot and dont want to promote by mentioning there name, plus they'll still be cool many years from now.
