vlsd quesion

i have an s13 with a vlsd, and it works as i have read a vlsd should.
my question is it possible to make the vlsd grip sooner?
i have read a few threads that say to just shim it.
has anyone actually done this?
if so, does it work?
any help would be great, thanks!

There's no adjustability of adjustable % of lock up on a vlsd. Hopefully it can hold you off until you get a clutch type lsd. Heard of z guys shimming the r200 off of gts but haven't heard the +'s on it tho'

yes you can shim it to convert it into a full lock unit.. but its a PITA to do, thats why not alot of people have done it... just save up for a used 2 way or a z31 clsd.
