I took my vavle cover off the other day to clean it and when i put it back on it cranked fine. Then the next day i go to crank it and it doesn't work. Can someone tell me what i might have done wrong or skrewed up? It is a GA16DE engine.

It may not necessarily be because you took your valve cover off. Is it making any noises? Particularly a clicking noise? If so it is probably your starter. Have you checked the battery for a charge, or even if the terminals are on good? Do you have power at all? You may have lost compression in your valve cover because you didnt replace the gasket when you took it off (did this about a month ago, but nothing bad has come of it yet). I dont think this would cause the car to not turn on though. Let us know, we're here to help. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

the first thing i thought was that i changed something on the distributor, and i check it with a Haynes manual and it was all correct and then i checked the ignition wires to see if they were getting a charge and they were firing right. it is really wierd, they just don't want to fire. how would i know if i lost compression? i didn't change the gasket cause it looked in good condition.
