find out which wire go into the sr. the look for those same ones on the KA afterthat set your limit for 2k rpm.

its not just a rev limitier, look it up on youtube or something.

yeah totally adjustable i hooked it up the way the diagram said to but i got nothing ... the sr ecu and ka are both n01 and after looking at both pin maps they are even the same so maybe i just got onto the wrong wire ???? nobody has ever used a rev limiter like this for drifting ?? that hard to believe i dont think a stock ka makes any power after 6 grand so i was going to use it to stay in the power band

let me know if you get it to run right, i'm probably going to run one on my setup if i have enough money left over when its all done.

I thought it can only be used on the sr and you cant on the ka...

i have one on my sr and it works, try switching the sensor wires, they are green and blue i think

What's the point.

like when i hooked it up "my way" i put the green wire to the tach signal and the yellow one on the ignition and the light came on and functioned when i was on the throttle and adjusted the knobs but it didnt cut the spark at all it still revved normally the only thing i havent tried is switching the wires like some people had to do on their sr's

whats so useless ??? its a rev limiter to keep it in the power band ....

yup had the same prob i figured it out i wired it in to the SR. It go as follows the yellow to the 180* andthe green to the 0* wire, red pwr black gnd and the white to the e-brake or the clutch which ever you are setting it up for. For a reference http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=153125&highlight=bee this is the search i did found this oh and note when i did hook it up the first time i found that the 180* and 0* were switched so if it jus cuts out jus swith the 180* and 0* don't panic no biggie hope it helps. ps mine works like a charm now:naughtyd:

no its not lol. its a fule cut defender......on most stock engines when you hit the rev limiter fuel cut kicks in which cuts out all the fuel...which means it leans out your car....when you have high horse power you cant afford that especially when drifting cause your always hitting it so what the Bee*r limiter does is instead of cutting fuel it dumps fuel in which is why it makes such loud backfires....in result to this gaskets go bad super quick so when you put this on finally you might as well replace all your exhaust gaskets too.

hmm well it said if you hooked them up back words it would run at all ... mine starts up completly normal ??? but ill try it and see what happens thanks guys

Wow... I cant belive how many dumb people are on here.
Maybe before you start talking about something you should read up in it so you know what your talking about.
The BeeR cuts the ignition not fuel, cutting fuel like you ecu does it what can cause you to go lean. If you cut ignition the you hurt nothing, the reason for th backfire and poping sound is because when you ignition fires there is alot of fuel in the cylinder.. this will never hurt you.
Hooking it up is the same as the SR.. Power.. Ground.. RPM back to the ECU not the one that runs to the Tach.
Also, coming out the side of the box are 2 wires, brown and grey. Cut the grey only.

You do know also, that you still cant raise you limiter. It wont over ride you stock limiter.

pretty sure this will never work on KA. Only works on JDM engines. Your KA is all "sinked up" with the U.S. exhaust resonance and therefore it will never work.
Seriously though. I had one and loved it. It should work fine on KA, but you are DEFF gonna have to swap the rpm and 180 wires like they said. On my RB, when it was hooked backwards, it WOULD run too and the lights worked, but no limiting was happening. I swapped the wires and bammo, it worked great.
The only thing I didnt like about it was that if yer plugs were more than a month or so old, it would occasionaly skip a lil at idle after a lap where I popped off the limiter a good bit. A few quick revs always cleared it out though.

Quiet, you.
Its not useless, even on a KA. Hater.

For the record, I'd also like to know how to do this. I'll be needing one in the very near future.

okay actually i dont have a bee*r i have a prostart ss. crazy but its the same thing basically, a 2 step rev limiter with gain control, but when trying to find out how to wire that i found out that bee*r didnt translate their installation directions correctly

i sure hope you don't have a cat if you're running a ignition cut rev limiter.
otherwise when you dump fuel into it it will overheat and melt and you'll have a clogged exhaust.

yes it is and no its not there are two settings one for the regular rev limit an a 2nd for the ebrake switch for ebrake drifts or you could always use it as a 2step launch control and no you don't go bad super quick with the gaskets had mine for bout 6months works great car runs awsome jus as it did when put the engine in.

yes it would still run only if the gain control was not on and if you were to turn on the control it would flood the engine in stead of back fireing like it should have i'll post pics of the splices later

can you elaborate on the ebrake switch? what does it do when you pull the ebrake?

I believe it turns on the 2nd rev limit for launch. When the e-brake is up the second rev limit turns on allowing you to stay at your 2nd set rpm and when you drop the e-brake it turns off allowing you to take off at your set rpm. it simply engages your 2nd rev limit.

i've heard some bad things about the bee-r rev limiter. but i have never confirmed any of these things. i have been toying with the idea of a MSD soft touch rev limiter.

i beg to differ
i owned one
and every time i woudl drift with that thing on, i would blow a manifold to turbo , or manifold to head gaskets
and i used OEM metal for both
i cant even count how many times i replaced them

Funny, we use them in 3 cars over 3 seasons and have NEVER had to change any gaskets.

Rocker arms dont like them very much. We have broke a few, but only when free reving on the SR... the RB seems to love it..

So... what was it?? You forgot to cut the gray wire ... didnt you!!
