Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted on here cause I just got back from living overseas.

Anyways, I just started up muy car after it sitting in the garage for a long while and noticed the battery was dead. It wouldn't hold a charge and this was verified at my local garage.

I bought a new one, installed it and the car started but there's no electrical. The only things that turn on are the headlights and the clock in the the instrument cluster (but the time doesn't show).

I don't even know where to start with this one and I'm dying to go for a drive!!!!! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Check your alternator fuse in your fuse box, big grey one. It probably grounded out and blew, look for exposed wires that would cause this

maybe rats got in and got hungry for some wires.

check your battery grounds and clean your terminals, then check your fuses.

i would defiantly check all your fuses...good luck LOL it'll be easier if u go to auto zone and get a fuse tester...

yeah i agree with all these guys. if your car has been sitting as long as you made it seem, anything metal making contact to your chassis/engine needs to be resurfaced, take some sandpaper to all your grounds, oxygen finds it's way everywhere.

check your fuse box its quick and easy, im pretty sure is either the 75A or the 100A fuse

Start by charging the battery. Go on from there. "New" batteries have been sitting on the shelf for a long time and are drained by the time you buy them.

make sure you hooked up all leads going to the positive battery sounds stupid but some people miss it.
