with the time and money you'd be investing into changing the offset and width, u might as well hold off until you find a good original set. would help with the resale value as well, if say you were to sell them someday.
I know kodiak does custom wheel barrels for about 150 a piece

width is the barrell, offset is the face. If youre changing the width and offset of the rim, your basically buying a new set of rims. So, go buy a new set of rims instead.

What? If you change either the barrel or the lip, you will get a different width and different offset. You don't need to change the face.
To the first guy. It would really depend on what what the wheels are setup like already. Do some calculations based on whatever specs you have and find out what each change will get you. Say you add 2" to the lip on the 17x7, what offset will you have? Say you add 2" to the barrel, what will the offset be then? And then you can estimate costs. If you have to change both, it's usually not worth it. But you can always change one and if the offset is too high, fine tune with spacers. It just depends on how good of a deal they are and how much the new parts are going to cost you. If you take some time and make some estimates, you can figure out if it's worth it.
And talk to Logan, I'm pretty sure he can get different barrels, so find out what the price is from him. And call Kodiak and see what the price would be from them. Just at least have an idea of what you're going to need when you call the places.
