Does anyone know a body shop that can do a good s13.5 conversion? I'm located in the Bay Area, and I haven't heard of a shop that does a decent job. Thanks.

yo can do it yourself, its not hard. As long as you get the s13.5 conversion fenders, then its a bolt in deal. just make sure you don't skimp on the fenders or your gonna need heat gun.

i had a 13.5 hachback, i didnt do the conversion myself, it came with the car when i bought it (1200 bux) but i did take everything off, its easy . The only thing that looked hard was removing the lights and getting a s15 light bracket. and making sure the lights dont jump up and down. Didnt look liek it was a hard job, im sure you can do it your self, theres a site where this guy did one step by step . Only thing i ran into when i took everythig off was what held the bumper up.

You're gonna want to look at Yoshi's website on it.

Detailed, step by step.

hey everybody...thanks for the replies...i've already looked at Yoshi's website, but his bumper is fiberglass and mine is made of urethane....it's not just a simple bolt on job...i would need a heat gun....also, Yoshi's website doesn't say how to get the hood and fenders to line up.....thanks for the tips...i'll have to keep looking....

ANY reputable body shop can do the conversion..just bring em the parts and a picture.. the only real tricky part is mounting the headlights, and adjusting the hood hinges

Yoshi only needed a heat gun because of the fenders he got. Sometimes its not needed. As far as lining up the hood goes just get s14 hood hinges. If you need a bumper support use a s14 zenki bumper support. For the headlights get s13 silvia headlight supports and drill new mount holes for the headlight brackets. Your making this out to be harder than it is. Just use your brain and do it.

its the body, it has more to do with imagination than precision anyways.

try to do it yourself.

ill bet money that it will be easier than you think.

if for some impossible reason you cant (you have no arms, you are in a coma etc.) take it to a shop.

shit i would do it for you depending on what parts you got, i dont wanna deal with crap ebay/raceon. im in san jose.

yeah, you can use direction from yoshi's website, search in google for s13.5 conversion.
I think it is good to get masa or inner circle conversion fender, I think they are the best ones out there.

*edit: save yourself the cutting step and just get a Kouki radiator support 97'-up, it will already have the headlight cut outs for easy install. And you definately are making this harder than it is!

All you need:
s14 any year hood hinges.
s14 rad support 97 - up for easy install.
s13 supports as stated above and YOU WILL need to redrill them a little.
your new lights hood and fenders.
NOTE: Inner circle, MASA, and orgin s13.5<-- best bang for buck are all expensive but well worth the time and money. Seriously you could have this all done in 3 hours tops if you had all the parts.

Do your radiator support swap first, if you are not gonna weld it on there go custom and use "L" shaped brackets from lowes or something.

Now after you feel comfy with the support do your fenders, then the hood hindges: you might need to retap these into you body get your hood bolted up but not all the way tightened. close it up and eye ball it it good.
then bolt up your lights with the s13 brackets. Wire your headlights and done.

Seriously if you read Yoshi's ish you can't be messing this up.

Im doing mine this week coming up. Theres a shop who will weld the radiator support here in the 909 for 80.00 which is the cheapest place i know of so far. Just make sure you take everything apart first and theyll do the rest.

Maybe your a waste of life?LOL, seriously dude, if you can't post constructively even with constructive criticism, you should not post at all. I do not, nor would most people consider your above statement a constructive piece of criticism for not doing the conversion.

i'd suggest you try it yourself. its really not that hard. something that makes it even easier is quality parts. stay away from the cheap stuff. especially the fenders. just one big headache to get it to fit right.
