Removed emissions stuff, including that gold vaccum plate on the rear of the engine. That being said, Im kinda confused on how to route the SCV solenoid.

What I think:
1 = FPR vaccum
2 = intake manifold source
3 = to SCV
That's what I came up with from looking at the FSM, but Im not 100% sure...

Remove it and the SCVs. Pull the throttle plates off the rod, then slide the rod out. There will be a set screw between cylinder 2 and 3, put it back in to seal the manifold. At the end, tap/thread a bolt in place or fill it will epoxy.

I did some searching, and I came across a lot of people saying there was noticeable loss of torque until like 4k without the SCVs in. I kinda wanted to keep them in for better low-end.
I know they aren't in s14's, but is the ECU tuned differently to compensate for them not being there?

Nope, the cams in the S14 are changed for low end torque, nut the tuning. I've never seen any dramatic changes by removing them, it'd be the same as using S13 cams in an S14 engine, which pulls nicely to redline.

hmm...what about leaving the system connected + rod in, but actually removing the plates from the rod? I know your experience with KA's, so I guess I'll just remove them.
I just want to make sure, because its getting cold + no garage, so I dont want to have to do this again anytime soon lol (I want to do it the right way first)

That works too, take the plates out.
