Bought a wangan last year for very cheap and have yet to install it. its taking up space and i might as well install it. but i do not have the clips or hardware for the installation. im not going to use double sided tape as it will fly off freeway driving or someone can jack it easily. does anyone here have these clips? or does anyone here know where i can get them? let me know via pm or reply, thanks!

black 3m adhesive will not let it fly off
i had my veilside mounted with it, and i had to break the wing apart to get it off

lol you had to break it apart? holy shit! thats pretty nuts  . I guess i can use 3m adhesive... but i dont want to destroy the wangan when i get my car painted. thanks though! :2f2f:

silicone. way stronger than 3m tape. and you can remove it cleanly with a razorblade and some patience. its how my old wangan wing was held on. when i removed it, you couldn't even tell there had ever been anything there.

silicone glue, right? did you use a specific manufacture of silicone or did you just get something from the autoparts store? also, how thick of a layer did you apply?

thanks for those helping me out! still looking for the clips/hardware and other possible mounting solutions!

no particular brand. just silicone you find at any auto parts store. (i used clear, but it comes in orange, black and grey too.) i just put a small bead (smaller than a ballpoint pen) around the perimeter of the wing and put it on. the only downside is that you hafta hold it in place till the silicone dries. i had a friend hold it while i slapped some electrical tape on it to hold it in place.

i used 3m double sided tape on my old wangan wing...and 4 sheet metal screws...i literally had to stand on my car to pull it off...3m double sided tape is like 3lbs of hold per inch...240 hatch is roughly 36-48 inches...do the math ;)

but seriously...once u get it on there with the 3m tape and let it sit...that thing isnt goin ne where

where did you use the sheet metal screws and how did you attach it?

if it helps.... my hatch has stock spoiler holes...

i drilled holes on the side of my hatch, about 3 on each side and slid in cotter pins. it worked surprisingly well and i didn't have any problems with it. you can pick them up at any hardware store.
