i have an 89 240 and when i was driving one night the engine started to sputter like as if there wasnt enough gas or something. so i pushed it to the gas station put some gas and it wouldnt start up. few friends tried to push start it and it would turn on but then die. haha this is the intro. so i charged the battery and got it to start perfect the next morning BUT my electronics ie. cluster ac/power inside wouldnt come on. i noticed that when i reved up till about 6k rpm all the stuff would turn on haha. so my question is could the engine part be that i just need a new fuel filter and pump. and the electronic part blown fuse or something in the wiring? any suggestions would be helpful thanks!

Check your alternator fuse? big grey one in the fuse box, and really check it, I had a similar problem, and checked the fuses over and over again, give it a good shake and see if it's blown, it'll prevent electronics from coming on in the cabin if it's blown

i just took it to a shop to test the alternater and it tested 3/3 good. im going to end up buying a new battery. so now just check the fuse box?

depends, have you messed with the wiring at all, I messed mine up messin with an electronic fan control. I'd check for exposed wiring, make sure you're not grounding anything out. Then go to nissan and pick a new one up. $20:hammer:
