I have a '91 240sx with a Redtop SR20 in it. Everything is complete. We put in a '89 and '90 MAF, but both don't wanna rev past 2500rpm, same goes for the road test, nothin past 2500. We put on my original '91 MAF and the engine reved lovely with no problems what so ever. Although when we took it on the road, the car seems as though it didnt wanna load up, and we couldn't get passed 2500 rpm once again. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. I know that we need the SOHC MAF and we have 2!! But what the hell is wrong??
Thanks a lot for your help!

1. clean out MAFS with carb cleaner and a clean rag
2. check MAFS wiring at plug. match SR-KA color for color
3. check MAFS ground
4. use FSM procedure to check MAFS voltage

Yep what Eric said.
I had the same problem. Turned out that The mafs wiring was disconnected at a sauder closer to the fire wall. Unwrap the Mafs wiring harness and check for a break.
