I recently was driving down the freeway with my carbon fiber hood (did not have hood pins at the time and I was an idiot, please do not flame me I was only doing 75) and it unlatched and hit my windshield etc. It knocked my mirror out of the mounting and that was basically it, or so I thought. A couple days ago I looked at my sunroof and it was sunken in slightly. I pushed the button to move it but it seems like one of the slider brackets is broken on the passenger side.

Has anyone else had this problem before? What do I need to do to fix it? I will take some pics over the weekend to give you guys a more detailed idea of what I'm talking about.

yea, somthing similar happened to as well. Unfortunately the slider can only be sold an complete assembly at nissan for like 700$. Your only options are to get a kognition carbon fiber roof covor(remove entire sunroof) for 200$ish or buy a used sunroof which i happen to have for 150 shipped. or just try to weld back on.

Pm me if your interested i can send pics.

After looking through the FSM I found the piece that is broken. Here is a pic... Do I still have to get the whole slider assembly just to replace it?

I just fixed that problem with one of my cars.
I had to manually push the window up while pushing the lift button.
I got a flathead and bent it out a little (link)

and it open, close, and slid fine....after I adjusted it.

that latch can't be sold seperatly, i tryed. that latch is part of the slider assembly, so you would have to buy the whole assemby.

i know, i sucks.

Is there any way to service your sun roof? Like, where, how and with what would you lubricrate the brackets with? Sometimes mine makes a noise when closing/opening.

Mine opens and closes decently actually. Sometimes when I try to lift it up the passenger side opens more than it's supposed to, but when I slide it back it in it works fine. Sometimes it makes a little clicking noise but I think that might be because there is a loose piece somewhere around there.

The main problem is that when I try to leave it in the spot where it should seal, the back part drops down as if it's going to start sliding back in. Either way it looks like I need a new sunroof. Can both you guys PM me pics of your sunroofs FS?

Don't mean to thread jack but is there a way to fix your sunroof molding so it seals tight? when it rains water hits my head:(
