D1 Spec Carbon Fiber or Fiber Glass Hood.

The sole purpose for putting ducts on hoods is not to lower the water and oil temperatures, but to prevent heat from building up inside the engine bay. This keeps the sensors in proper working order as well as maintaining the other components from heat related wear. D-MAX had come up with a D1 spec hood that performs just as well as it looks.

The rear duct makes this design super efficient along with the three rows of fins. During motion, these fins provide an uplift of air forcing it to escape through. It literally sucks out the hot air present inside the engine bay.

In addition, we will be using trucking company and please make sure you open up the hood and check everything before you sign the release form.

If there are damages, you have to make the driver write a note or indicate it on the release form that the hood are damaged.

We used about $50 worth of packaging material per hood box and sometime if the box is damaged but the hood may not be. Please don’t turn assume the hood is damage by looking at the box. Open it up and inspect it !

Its FRP. Carbon ones have gloss. Im painting mine so i didnt want to spend the extra $$ on carbon.

I haven't finished open them all yet, but all the one we have opened, the fiber glass comes with some sort of matt black finish.

I haven't figure out what kind of finish it is yet. It's very different from the FRP material body kits we get from other manufacture.

Same thing happened to me.

They are only glued in place.

The pieces can loose during the shipping.

I am going to rivet them in place.

yeah, they are purposely left loose for you to adjust the angle on the vents. I will use a self tap screws or rivets whichever is easier for you !

The L bracket stay in place.

The vents are not loose...they are glued and the glue does not hold the vent to the L bracket well, which is why they come apart during shipment.

They come apart, just hold them back together with a fastener.

Just thought I would throw this up on here since I did a quick mock up of my ORIGIN LAB Stylish Kit and DMAX D1 Hood, both of which you sell. If you are thinking of buying from Ravspec, they ship their stuff extremely safe. There was all kinds of padding on my hood and was perfect when it showed up to my work. Anyways....
