Depends, you might need a fatty actually. Stock SR's come with the skinny o2

What ECU are you running? Redtop, I assume? If so, you should be running the skinny O2 sensor (which you are). Since it's too small for the elbow, you just need an adapter bolt. Megan Racing sells them, $15 shipped. It's not sold separately on their website, but just call them at 626-581-0988 and tell them what you need (an adapter bolt for a skinny redtop O2 sensor) and they'll take care of you. Don't bother trying to find it at Home Depot, because you won't be able to. Trust me.

AznDrftr: i'm not trying to be a dick, but you're incorrect in saying stock sr's come with skinny o2 sensors. just don't want misinformation being spread. stock REDTOPS came wiht skinnies, and latemodel/early blacktops came with fat o2 sensors. i've yet to see an aftermarket elbow come with skinny o2 bungs. as rb200 said, if you have a skinny o2, yes you can buy an adapter to mate to the fat o2 bung and it will thread right in (this is what i did).

i have an ebay elbow and it had the fat o2 bung. if you are really concerned you can contact the manufacturer of the elbow of your choosing.

Does anyone have a link to the fat to skinny conversion bung?

Like I said, it's not on Megan's website. You have to call them and ask for it specifically.

Enjuku Racing has it online (http://storesense.megawebservers.com/HS318/-strse-1260/ER-Spec-O2-Sensor/Detail.bok), if spending $20 plus ~$10 shipping on a bolt - when you can get it elsewhere for half as much - is the kind of thing that excites you.

The thread pitch on the skinny 02 is 12x1.25 which is the same pitch of your lugnuts. What we did for my friend was grind the bung off the outlet. Then take a open lugnut and weld it in place. Just to be safe after it's welded on grind off some of the lugnut so the sensor tip stays in the exhaust stream and you get a accurate reading. This may seem like more work but if you got tools and about 30 minutes you won't have to buy it and then wait for it to get shipped. GL.:bigok:

Are you sure it's 12 x 1.25? I was thinking 1.5.

I am pretty sure. That's we we used. It all works and runs fine.

Yeah I'm not 100% sure, I just bought the adapter bolt and screwed it in. The threads did seem a little close together to be 1.5...

Werd. It's 12x1.25 for sure just double checked. Anywho I hope the OP got the info he needed.

Could you just replace the skinny with the fatty o2, say if your o2 was old and needed replacment anyway?

No you can't the difference between the fatty and skinny oxygen sensors is more than there girth. Try looking up Zirconia vs Titania oxygen sensors.

^--you sure? below is quoted text from frsport.com:

"For S13 models, there's 2 type of O2 sensors. There is the Large (FAT) (blacktop) and Small (Skinny) (Redtop) type, both have 3 wires."
