I was driving through some bumpy roads (SF has some shitty roads) and after a couple of bumps my brake light and battery light started flashing.

It was on for awhile until shut it off. Usually it goes away after a while or when i shut it off and start it up it goes away.

Am I in the safe? :ugh:

A start would be to check your brake fluid, and battery terminals.

also check your alt, as it may a have a loose connection, or the belt is slack.

i had a similar problem in a different car, check the harness going into your brake master cyl, one time mine wiggled loose. yeah clean your battery terminals too.

Id check all thats been mentioned and be sure to do a good check around the alternator.
Two times on two different S13s Ive had the belt loosen from either the bracket or tensioner......... anyways, causing the alternators charging to fluctuate, in return causing both "brake" and "battery" lights to trigger.
Ive been told by an elder(so yes, he does get the benefit of the doubt) Datsun/Nissan mechanic that the car was designed to trigger those two lights in the event of a "charging" problem.
Dont know if its fact but.....................

alternator, check connection (ground, hot), probably loose.
