I'm at work and noticed a problem W/ my car on the way back from lunch. Its an SR20DET W/ FMIC and GT2817RS turbo running at 11PSI. The rest of the engine is pretty much stock. I think I'm getting detonation. It sounds good at idle, but when accelerating, it sounds like a BB is bouncing around under my valve cover. Its a random sound that doesn't speed up or anything W/ RPMs. Does this sound like detonation? Vacuum and oil pressure are normal. I plan to check coolant and oil B4 i start her up again. I filled my tank last week W/ 93 octane as always and am now half empty. How harmful would it be to slowly drive it home 11 (mostly highway) miles?

Don't drive it... $50 tow might save your $1500 engine from being replaced...

that sounds like a BB is bouncing around in your head!
No but seriously, if it is detonation, retard your timing before you drive anywhere.

If it is detonation turn the boost down as much as you can and retard the timing, if you must drive it anywhere. When you get home pop the valve cover off and see if anything is or has rattled loose. I had a lifter come loose on me and it kind of sounds like what you described, could be wrong. GL.
