quality is a little iffy from what i have heard (welds crack and what have you), but i have had mine for 6 months and no cracks yet...
just make sure you have the one rubber exhaust mount that connects from the cat flange to the trans mount, from what i have heard if you dont, the exhaust vibrates a lot and it can prematurely crack the welds on the manifold.

megan's fine, here's tiger racing's drift car's dyno, they've already been invited to d1, they're running a megan manifold. my tuner just finished their roll cage yesterday, so all next week they'll be drifting in cali heh

^wow. impressive numbers. kinda the range i want, well wouldnt mind wanting anyway.

yeah, but i think he was looking for quantifyable numbers on the manifold.
Really, the only "good" reason for a tubular bottom mount mani is to clear a LARGE compressor housing, otherwise the trade off for the small amount of flow you pick up over the cast iron is negated by the fact IT WILL CRACK after abuse, NO MATTER WHO MAKES IT.

also.....get solid exhaust hanger bushings, make sure DP bracket is being used, and some good motor mounts. All this will eliminate alot of vibrations
Ive had mine for a lil over 1 1/2 and no problems here

my friend and i put one on his s14 a couple of weeks ago, it has a meaner sounding exhaust note and a little more top end pull. i have one also but have been too lazy to install it

if your on a stock T25 or GT28R, your not going to notice much gain with a tubular manifold. Infact, you'll loose some mid for just a slight gain if even.

I had one for a day before my piston melted :) It was nice, like KoukiMonster said it wont be as lound, but definitly a good cheap mod

haha, have fun installing it if the engine is in your car..if it isn't in your car, then install will be easy, but take it from me, and re-route the turbo coolant line to feed from somewhere else instead of feeding from where the heater hoses are...definitely get yourself the OEM S15 7 layer exhaust manifold gasket (or is it 5 layer?) if you do choose to install it. don't use the crappy gasket that megan includes.

s15 gasket - 5 layers

I wouldnt get megan for something like that. I mean, their coilovers are pretty good, and they work. But something like exhaust mani, that gets CRAZY hot...you are better off with stock, or spend some money on real parts like tomei.

i agree with homegarage, but unfourtunetly i cheaped out... sometimes it gets uber hot and glows cherry red... i was thinking of going back to stock, i barely feel any top end, and it feels like i lost a little low-mid range.

heatwrap ftw. i've been running xs power and since day 1 it's been dei heat wrapped and still no cracks and that's even worse than a meghan lol. theoretically keeping the heat in the manifold helps expand the gas even more causing even more pressure to spool the turbo with. in actuality is it a huuuuge improvement, maybe, maybe not, but it also keeps your brake master cylinder from melting and the rest of your engine bay temp down as well. there's not a damn thing wrong with a meghan. if i was sponsored by full-race or peakboost i'd use their manifolds. but if my manifold cost me more than my turbo, than i got sold some hype ftl.

Turbo manifolds are pointless unless you are rocking big hp to take advantage of it.
Just stay stock.

I've heard heat wrap is a no-no, that it will shorten the life span of your manifold.
Just wondering about how much does this manifold usually cost. What if you ceramic coat it inside and out (cost usually around $100 or so). That should solve a lot of heat issues, and let your manifold last a lot longer. Would the extra cost negate the savings of getting a megan vs a more expensive one?

I have one, and only one cheap part on my car...... and it is a Megan manifold. It has been on there for about 20k miles. I am putting down 400whp on a daily driven car with no issues with the manifold. Most manifold company's do not recommend heat wrap or coatings...... they say it can lead to premature cracking of the welds.
