First, this awesome photo taken by Richard Fong, Feature Editor of D-Sport. Matt Koestner (DSG Mapping Specialist & Electrical Engineer) is in the passenger seat and soon after this I put the car off.

Well, winter started early this year and the maxi is undergoing surgery. The front end is being rebuilt with chromoly/titanium tube.
-New 321 Stainless Long Tube manifold
-A GT3076 will be used with the Tial .68 housing. Wastegate is not yet decided but it will mostly depend on funds.
-The cylinder head is on its way to Chris @ Head Dynamics and I am very excited to see the results.
-The new exhaust will exit after the front wheel, 3.5" titanium after the wastegate re-entry.
-Some things will be moved in the engine bay, away from the exhaust.
-New bladed swaybars front and rear will be fabricated.
-Shocks will be revalved for different spring rates.
-Lexan winshield
-Ducting will be reworked in composite with a more efficient exit for the radiator. -The rear end aero will be modified a bit.
A photo of the new front inner fenders.

I can't wait until you have the sways done. I've been wanting to do a bladed setup but have neither the time nor the expertise.

Awesome as always Bill.

I can't wait to see the rebuild play out. It was awesome to watch it get built the first time, so now that improvements are being made after a season of experience... just WOW! Should be fun to watch. :rawk:

ooooh, no VE head?

Oh well, still as sick as ever.

Wish I could do more than window shop at the quality fabrication.

I recieved my cylinder head back from Chris Beran at Head Dynamics in IL. The job he did on this is awesome and I can't wait to get this going with the new turbo setup. I'm retaining stock valves and am undecided on whether to go with solid lifters. I'm not sure I want to get rid of the 264 step IIs and buy solid cams. I don't think I'll need to rev above 7800 so there probably isn't any reason. Here are some photos of the ports.

Exhaust manifold has been designed, just needs to be made:) (along with everything else) We have some rallies to service for in the next month so time will be at a premium.

3076 you'll probably want to go higher than 7800.

7800 is 2871/3071 Territory.

How much did that car end up weighing. not the dry half the parts removed 1950, but like, after a track day weigh?

~2250 with me and 75% fuel. Hopefully the weight will be down from that next year.
