Not too bad. I wouldnt spend extra cash to make my car look like that. I think it will look better once it is fit properly.

Would be interesting to see hid's in there and the cut off.
Could be cheaper for some people who want to have a decent headlight setup.
Doesn't line up all that well, but whatever. As long as you truly were bored and not just saying that as a cover up.

Couldnt you use the R32 corner lights?
Doesnt look too bad, actually looks better then the OEM zenki headlights.

maybe add some kind of rubber around the corner light to fill in the extra space, (like the S15 headlights have)

damn you caught me, i spent all my time trying to get this thing working =( ha ha ha, HID's will be pretty difficult with the OEM r32 projector, it has a weird setup. I was thinking about moving my e-class bi-xenons from my s13 to this setup... but i don't know if i'm that bored...

not bad~~... it's hard to make shit fit. i know.. ugh
2nd and 3rd pic reminded me of a maxima.. dunno why.... hum..
go back to stock lights ... just my op.

Yeah, try to make it look a little more flush with some kind of rubber or go back to stock lights. The empty space and unevenness with the corner lights make it look a little haggard. Have you tried the r32 corners?

R32 corner lamps won't fit in Silvia fenders and are too long, already tried to do GTR corners...

Not bad... I know R32 corners they wont fit right up but thats where you gotta decide if you really wanna complete this or not....
So, finish it up with the corners or go back to stock... Just my opinion. But, if you like it then leave it its your car...

R32 corners won't fit..... They're too long and will push the headlamps further in... Besides they're not even the same shape as 14 corners...

Ya but you could trim the fenders a bit and make them fit. If you really wanna make this set-up look good then you are gunna have to do some metal work anyways.

if you wanna save money, sell your headlights on ebay, and buy the kouki headlights(egay style)($200)
make those fit!
that would look pretty cool

No you can't. The lights are narrower at the end.. You'd have to fill in the fender with fiberglass or bondo...
forget 97-98 headlights may as well just get glass euro zenki headlights.

Thats what I was talking about when I said you have to decide if you want to go through with this or not. To just leave them like that people would think great he did this but is he going to finish it now. Get the R32 corners and make them fit. Cut the metal shape with fiber glass and fill in with bondo. Ohh yeah fix the hood gap too. Thats what I meant by finish it or go back to stock...
240meowth, not bashing you at all brother. I just think this is a good idea and that you should finish it and make it all work. Go for it and do it right so you can have something nice and different...

Fuckit, run the the R32 fenders too...they would some what bolt up on the S14.
Only catch is itll flare out like a damn wide body...youll have a nice lil fender vent by the door...
Kouki headlights wont work, you'll have gappage all over. Hood wont line up and youll have a gap on the bumper.

it looks like ass because its not designed nor intended to fit that fucking car
you can sit there and wonder about the mystique of the "R32 SKYLINE GT-R HEADLAMPS"
or
you could've swung by my office, and i would have shown you first-hand why they dont fucking fit. not only that, i'de give you a slap in the back of the head to remind you not to be stupid, like my father always did.
see, this is why i am not stupid. i've gotten enough head backslaps to smarten up. if you still think you can fit R32 lamps without SERIOUS BODY WORK, you've got some problems.
97-98 S14 headlamps, that is your only option. that, or you can die. i mean... death is always an option.

wow, never seen someone getting so angry over some headlights? it's okay, i google traumatic brain injury: anger and depression and i guess it all makes sense in your case, but i won't judge, i don't even know you. but since you got an office i guess you're doing well, i'm glad for you.
i never said it would fit perfect, i've stated before the corner lights just don't go. I've also said i did this because one of my old headlight bracket was broken. so I thought i'd try something interesting, sorry if i offended you with my bordom? :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:
i worked with headlights in the past and it intrigued me, so now i try different things. here are a couple stupid things i've done, i show them because i think it's an interesting test also so you can have a stroke.

i was just going to say this guy sort of reminds me of a guy named mike who runs clear corners, but i than i thought "didn't he get banned for being a jerk?" i guess he's back. :wtc: good for you ixfxi.
while ixfxi does it for a living, i do it for leisure, i just thought it was something interesting. I'm sure ixfxi was just like us at one point, got bored one day and did something interesting and made a career out of it, and that's great! "do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life", so he's living the dreams; i don't see why ixfxi has to be so angry about it? he makes top of the line stuff, that's great, but people like me don't have that kind of money to throw around, so we get bored, spend 100+ bucks on some headlights, try it on a saturday afternoon, it's relaxing, and i feel somewhat accomplished.
what i'm saying is, sure be a critic, people in the posts before said it was ugly, but was it necessary to use profanity? and talk about slapping me upside the head? not at all.

because all you *have* to do, is sit there and look at your stock light in one hand, then look at the R32 in the other. everything about it says "no, doesnt fit"
but for some reason, people always want to try. thats fine, try all you want. do me a favor, atleast try and then post a post that says:
"for all you idiots that are wondering, NO.... THIS WILL NEVER WORK."
that way, you're contributing to the forum and reducing the chances of other n00bs on this forum from doing stupid things.
honest, i dont understand why so many people think things plug and play from car to car to car.
many things can work, as long as you do the R&D. if you dont, and you just spew out ideas.. then this whole forum will get littered with tons of useless posts.
i guess im just tired of seeing projects that are 1/2 done and never fully, successfully completed. I hate seeing people drive around with janky cars that are falling apart and never complete. oh well, i guess i just gotta get used to this stuff.

see, that's a little better, constructive criticism for the most part.
personally i like the light output and from behind the steering wheel, it's clean and sweet, a projector after all. but like i have mentioned before the corner lights are pretty much ass looking, and I do have to admit the gap between the hood and the headlights are not as wide as i thought they would be, but still, far from good.

light output is beyond horrible. i have customers with r32 or s14 (both use very similar, almost identical projectors) always complaining about light output.
PLUS its fucking RHD projector, so its illegal because it flares to the left.

I like it dude, at least it's somewhat original. I plan on doing the same thing when I am "bored", I have the r32 headlights and corners but just like everyone says the corners will take bodywork to get them to fit - i'm an ametuer so probly not going to mess with em'.
I got plenty of engine/suspension/interior/smog crap i gotta fix first before getting into body work...

I had the same problem, but i'm waiting on a set of clear r32 corner to come in.
I really dont see the need for all the negative feedback. Yes they have a rhd projector, but your make brackets anyway its not hard to adjust. I for one really like the light output far more than my stock lights. I put in the r32 headlights because some sorry craze fuck thought it would be fun to go in to my college's parking lot and bust a lot of people head lights & i only paid 150shipped

I see a need for the hate, because people dont understand whats involved in doing this conversion properly.
1) It must look good, as if it came from the factory that way
2) The lights must be aligned properly, which is an impossibility
3) The lights must be mounted properly, which is an impossibility
Basically, it works like this. If you try to mount them so that they look OEM, you'll have to follow the lines of the car. The S14 body panels in NO WAY line up with those lamps. Then, assuming you somehow figure out a way to line everything up (with or without tremendous amounts of body work), you have to figure out how to properly align the headlamp components (low and high beam) so that everything shines properly.
That, and the swift kick in the nuts is that they're RHD and the optics are all wrong.
Yeah........... its not a fucked up situation at all. 97-98, done deal.

Makes no difference to me, its not my car and I dont neg rep people for posting stupid shit. I just enjoy talking shit, mostly because its fun and second because it pisses people off. :-)
With that said, take a CLOSE look at the headlamp below, there is a hard line (flat section) on the face of the glass headlamp lens. This line continues to the corner lamps, which are also longer and wider. All in all, its not an easy fit.
http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/skyline1/h_lamp1/KH2_02.jpg
For some people things are "good enough" but the way I see it, there are too many reasons not to go with something like this. I've shown these differences to several people in-person at the shop, all have agreed after careful thinking that its just not worth the time.

I'm always willing to try new things, but I never leave them at 'good enough'. it's either 100% right, or it's gone. It's one of the things that pisses me off about not having as much money as I'd like to mod cars, that's why most of mine stay pretty close to stock (compared to most cars around here).

you dont have to do extreme shit, just do it clean and make it work.
but you know AMERICANS, they take something pure and tasty like sushi - and pile a shitload of sauce and spices on it. i have a friend from south of the border who asked for "teriyaki sauce" for his sushi..... NICE
