View Full Version : TPS Sensor? I need help

when I hit(pedal to the metal) the throttle from 2k rpm in any gear it accelerates but jerks and I also hear a tick. prytty much every time I pass half of the gas pedal my S13 does that. I don't think I have any vacum leaks.
Did any one had that,

what car?
what engine?
auto? stick?
where is the tick?
can you describe the tick?
are you sure its not a tack?
we need a bit more info than what you posted to help

might be a tack, but not in a sequence
I can't describe it that well, but it sounds like there is a miss fire

basically from what i was told...u gotta loosen it up and set it with a multimeter to .5 volts at idle... not sure though

no cover sheet...
ill send u afax about that new policy again...make that 2 copies just in case lol
BTT, try sourcing an FSM and it might give u a way to test MAF on the SR
or other forums...

If you don't get your throttle position sensor fixed, I'm afraid we're gonna have to ask you to move your stuff down into storage B
