*Please move thread if i posted this in the wrong section*

So within the next few monthes a buddy and i are going to start fabricating my roll cage in my S14 w/ sunroof for next season, and right now we are gathering idea's and information for it. If you could help me out, post up whatever pictures you have of your cage and any info if you have it.
More so looking for custom cages rather than a bolt in, but those pics would be nice too. I know this is pretty obscene sounding, but I plan on keeping the car streetable as well. I know a cage severly hinders streetability, but i get most of my enjoyment out of the car when im out driving around with friends.

If you have a custom cage, what parts about it do you like?

What would you have done differently?

Any nuggets of wisdom about building one that would be different than normal?

Yes i searched, and the only thing i got was 3 year old threads, and i dont care about seeing how autopower or cusco cages fit. We are making our own in my friends garage. I wanted people that have cages to post their input on their own cage in a car that they drive.

the advantages to custom cages are that you can make it fit super duper tight to the a/b/c pillars hell yeah!
and put that piece of sheetmetal inbetween the bars and the pillar. make it uber stiff.

omg this is getting me off!

Just remember that the triangle is the strongest shape.

Just remember that the triangle is the strongest shape.
Sure is. The guy that is helping me build it has years experience, and has built cages before, and has built 2 full rock crawling buggies from the ground up. Like i said, i'm just looking for design ideas.

I would ask people for the dimensions and specs also. its hard to bend a pipe by eye. Especially when not being able to touch or look at it closely
