I recently had my car converted from auto to manual...but on top of that..i also had sr20 dropped installed too..i got it done for $1000..that's because i knew the guy..but other shops would charge you roughly around $500-$600 just to do the auto to manual conversion..

1000 is not bad at all..where in nyc is this shop...i think you will need a driveshaft and ecu also? the brake pedal you can cut for the same size as the clutch pedal..

Oh really, i have a friend also doing the job he told me that he normally charges $500 for that swap but he's doing it for free. He also is doing the sr20det redtop swap for me for $500 but i got a quote to do the wiring it was like $550.00.....i think im being cheated though.

It's about that much for the wiring! As far as the auto to manual conversion goes, i have no idea! Do it yourself? My dads in the process of doing it himself on his s13 convertible!!! :coolugh:

depends where you buy the engine set..they go for 1900 to 2300 bucks..a place like heavythrottle will charge almost 3,000 because of there reputation and warranty and there 24 hour assistance..i think its worth it

The swap down here to me are pretty expensive i recently got a qoute before i left my car at my friends shop it was...complete swap $2000 and installation $2000. That meant driving car for $4000 but i would have to take out the old Ka and do the auto to manual swap....

Now my friend has had the car for like 3 weeks in the shop "waiting for an engine" the container came from Japan tuesday but still i havent heard anything from the seller.....

I got my sr20 redtop for 2215 shipped. it came with motor, tranny, ecu, harness, ignitor chip and MAF...when my motor came in, it actually came with the a/c compressor too..but i end up not using it...

right now i am gathering all the parts..such as engine mounts and tranny mount, intercooler, exhaust,i will use the stock radiator for now and custom a hose to the sr engine..i see heavy throttle sells this custom hose already..and i will purchase dual electric fans

message to warauto...

if you can...try to gather all the parts...that's even if you need to get it brand new..i know some pplz might have a budget..but its alot more worth it later down the line...instead of ghetto everything...
