Looks good. They didn't mess with the formula too much.

These are leaked pics of the near production car. Nothing much is going to change. This isn't a "futuristic concept" or anything. Concepts don't have warning labels on the underside of the sun visors. What you see is what we get.

My wife and I will be buying one in Spring. We wanted the new EX, but with the options we'd want, that adds up to a $45k vehicle. The Murano should come in under $40, and Nissan is more willing to haggle. Last we looked they were gonna give is a fully loaded AWD SL, w/ Nav for $34. I'm sure the new one will go up slightly.

The Rogue is just plain ugly.

Here's something interesting. Nissan is planning a droptop Murano for next year.

My neighbor has a brand new black murano. I still can't get over the grill / headlight design. But other than that it is sharp. Vert will be interesting. I'm sure it will get sales, but niche vehicle for sure.

I dunno, I don't think it's a bad idea. Niche vehicles are where it's going to be at in the future for sales. With sales numbers down down down, niche vehicles can help boost sales by being different. The original xB is a perfect example.

scion is losing numbers now.

I read an article about the scion CEO, and he said that he really regrets how they started. With the whole youth-tuner ads. It was a big mistake and its costing them now.

Niche vehicles IMO are bad ideas these days. Most companies cant afford to take risks with a car.

I'm not a fan of the styling.

The older model was nice, but the FX45 was the business. I love the interiors of those.

Yeah, I don't really think the 'vert is such a hot idea. I think they could've gone in a better direction.

Yea, Scion is doing bad. But not because they are niche vehicles, it's because they lost their way. The xB grew too much, and lost some of it's fun. The Tc needs a refresh badly.

The reason I'm for niche vehicles, is that with a single platform (FM, Kappa, etc), they can make numerous vehicles at a low cost that appeal to a lot more people.

So for instance with the FM platform, you have a lux-o coupe (g37), a lux-o sedan, sports car (370z), a entry lux-o CUV (EX), a big lux-o CUV (FX) and now the smaller new 240, and the infiniti version of it, and maybe even a smaller sedan. So now they are able to capture all those buyers with just one platform. Most of those vehicles I consider niche vehicles.

I don't like the new Muranos and this "thing" doesn't help one bit. The older ones looked way better. The new front end is gross.

The Rogue definitely looks Korean...I'm thinking Hyundai Santa Fe to be exact. I don't really see the need for the Rogue since the market is already flooded with other crossovers/small SUVs. It doesn't offer anything groundbreaking.

And +1 to the FX45 comment. Those things looked beastly. Not feeling the new FXs though. They messed up a good thing imo.
