The following is a clip for a film I'm working on appropriately coined "Small Town Zeros". It is a no budget, just for fun, Drift film featuring BC's Drift Union, a grass roots group of guys who share a common sideways addiction for power sliding and e braking.
I decided I would take all the kick ass footage that we shot over the summer of 07 and compile it into a film that shows drifting has a heartbeat even in smaller rural areas.
Now it's not only to show that drifting exists in small towns but also to hopefully shed light on the sport of drifting from a different angle, an angle that is far from the world of big $'s, pro level competition, politics and corporation. A fresh angle that shows a small group of drifters that rip for FUN and on their own buck.
There are thousands of us grass roots dori addicts out there so this film is for everyone of you who shreds for the love of it, and understands what it means to buy you own parts, build/fix your own car, change your own tires, dig the grease out of your fingernails, break shit, learn from your mistakes, and help in moving this kick ass sport forward.

Hope you Dig it! -Maddog- http://www.northwestnissans.com/board/images/nwn_v3/smilies/1515yellow/cool.gif

Thanks alot! glad everyone is stoked! I am hoping to have the full lenght film done around the first of March.

I feel that due to the nature of the film I need to get this off my chest because of coarse there is the whole grey area of street racing/drifting and the confusion and negativity that can come along with it, I feel I need to explain the importance of being safe and smart!
If you notice in every clip we are in secluded areas where there are no other vehicles around. And also areas that we felt were safe and of low risk to us and or cars (helps keep drifting affordable if you aren't breaking shit). We take a great deal of time assessing potential spots to session, we make sure that we are not endangering anyone (ourselfs included) or anything and we also don't want to piss anyone off.
We drift in areas well away from rural areas and in most cases we won't see a single car the entire time we session, if there is occasional traffic or visibility is poor we have spotters that let us know the score well ahead of time.
Drifting is something that you should not attempt if you feel at all uncomfortable or unsure of a situation or location, this is serious shit you are essentially sliding a 2500lb machine and there are always variables that can put a quick stop to your fun! It may not be you the driver but something that you did not predict or plan for, this is what you have to take into consideration every time you sit in the driver seat!!!!!!! USE YOU HEAD.
This film is not at all to promote street drifting, but the reality is allot of us do use some areas of public road to practice when we are not at a track. Just be smart and think of yourself and others around you!

This may mean nothing to you because you already know but for those who are unsure or don't know keep it in mind!

Oh and Mods if you feel that this film does not comply with forum rules, than by all means. It's understandable.

lol nice i think the video was pretty cool i like the music as well. You gotta throw in mambo italiano in one of the sections maybe some film bloopers too. It does have that skate video feel to it like old school girl "mouse". keep it up cant wait to see the full feature.

It is from a Quentin movie.

Cool vid, tell your photographer to try and keep cars in frame!

Maybe invest in a good video tripod.

Hahahaha... and I thought there was something Desperado/Resevoir Dogs/Grindhouse/Jackie Brown/Pulp Ficiton-ee about it, but just couldn't point my finger on it.

Good stuff. I actually really like the editting and how it's kind of like a home movie but cooler... can't wait to see the rest!

Get me some new aero bish.

I said it was a cool vid. I liked it. Good editing.

I just offered up the suggestion of better composition, and a good tripod for tracking.

If they're serious about making movies as it looks like they are, then I think they're open to advice. I do car videos for a living I figured I'd try to impart some knowledge.
