I think if a car spunout it would flex the shit out of the (umm. I want to say sidewalls but I dont know what to call them lol) and cause the car to roll. Not to mention it looks gay as fuck

NEW "SEE THRU" TIRES
Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.
This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology:
a. no more air valves
b. no more air compressors at gas stations
c. no more repair kits
These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It
will be awhile before they are available to the automotive industry.
Michelin's words not mine

Sweet this means
a. no more nice rims
b. you cant stretch these.
c. super lame offset
I want to see what car manufacture puts their cars out with these tires on them. Who wants to be the first to get sued?

Yeah, I'm sure that the people who put years of research into this haven't considered what would happen if the car spun.
The tweel is awesome as a tire. It's much easier to design a better tire as a tweel than as a conventional pneumatic tire in terms of pretty much everything.
And do you guys really think this is going to happen overnight? Like tomorrow there won't be pneumatic tires anymore, just tweels?

I think this will be one of those things that will never be put into mass productions if any production at all

Great... not only will we have 2 billion dumbasses on here asking about width and offset, we will have another 2 billion dumbasses asking
"what stiffness are your tweels?" "did you get the 60 spoke or 70 spoke tweels?"

Do they make 24 inch tweels for my escalade? And I want the spokes inside the tire to be shaped into Dollar signs.
