240, 260, 280z's

I can't find anything out about any of the older Datsun Z cars, like the 240z, 260z, and 280z/zx.  I'd like to know what engines were used in these three z's, and the specifications of each, if possible.  And what years they were in production.  If anyone knows any good websites, that would really help.  

There is a 260z for sale by my house.  It appears to be in great condition for it's age, and still runs good.  The asking price is only $500, too.  I'm probably going to get it, I'd just like to learn a little technical info, first.  

Also, is it true Nissan used turbo engines in these?  I know there are V8 kits are available for these cars, but I'd like to find an origional turbo engine and build it, just to be an ass.

L24, L26, L28 are the engines.

The 280ZX had a turbo engine that can be swapped into earlier models.
