Anybody have them? Did a search and didn't pull too much up. They look pretty beefy, but don't have spring rates listed. Just shot an email off to find out. Just looking for any opinions, hopefully from somebody who is or has run them.
Heres the link: http://www.arizonazcar.com/240sxbrakes.html

They look comparable to Stance and KTS. You should try them out and let everyone know about them.

I should, and I just may, just putting this initial feeler out there to see if the company is reputable for one. And if anyone has had any trouble.

I like the color. They do look beefy though. Warranty? Any test cars?

Thanks CKAMC, I'll def. check that out.
those fronts don't look as if they will blow anytime soon... also if they are made in the USA, they should be serviceable here too.

That's what I was thinking, they look uber sturdy, and as soon as I get off work I can check out the az240sx forums and see if anybody there runs em'. We have a filter that doesn't allow us to look at certain sites at work...

Try calling the place. They could just be using the shocks from a different company. Or if they sell them as their own Im sure they arent a big enough company to have their own manufacturing warehouse, So someone has to have the same or very similar shocks

Those are not made in the U.S. They look like another branded set of Taiwanese factory stuff.

LOL the fronts are inverted - thats why they look "beefy" to you. they look "sturdy" do they? :P
the inverted seems to be the preferred setup now for fronts... but they do look like any other sticker branded coilover. shouldnt be too bad. I have to ask tho - y not just get the PBM?

If the site didn't remind me of my 6th grade Ben's Page O' Stuff website on Geocites, maybe I'd take it more seriously

They have the same color scheme as the powertrix/HSD coilovers.

azZcar makes good shit for S30's, so im sure his stuff for S13's is the same, seeing that he runs a set on his personal 240. and the site isnt all big and bad beause its basically just him making this stuff.

Haha, that site is pretty cheesy, but I just thought I'd give it a shot, see if anybody had any experience with them. They have big brake kits and stuff, that have been around longer than the wilwood produced ones.
smelly240: yeah, upon closer inspection, i guess they are inverted, and not as "sturdy" as I had originally observed. My mistake. And at the risk of sounding more like an idiot, what is "the pbm"

Im gonna have to agree. anyone can get the shocks from some chinese company. They just put thier own shiny green collars on them and some bottom mounts and Viola.

Eh, I know probably none of you are still interested but Dave from Arizona Z car finally got back to me
"We have them made,
Absolutely no warranty of any kind.
I will have the dyno data in the near future.
Super High quality stuff , not the same junk the kids all buy.
Come with 6K & 8K springs
Dave"
Not real definitive, probably like everybody said cheap chinese crap. But at least its not the same junk all us kids buy!

We have them made lol. That means chinese parts. and no warranty of any kinds. Thats nuts

Yeah, pbm seems to be the most suitable option for that price range, less actually. Or koni's and ground control FTW!!!

Name any entry-level coilover with a warranty.

What do you mean by entry level? Megan racing has a warranty. Buddyclub has a year warranty on thiers. I think any company that wants to call themselves a company needs to have some kinds of warranty. All that means is they dont even trust their parts to back them up. Also means they could give a rats ass about the customer after they get their money.

11-13-2007, 12:30 AM
Huh, i guess megan racing does come with some sort of warranty. Didn't even know till you pointed it out...

Yea dude. any REAL company IMO would have some kind of a warranty anything less is ridiculous
kcndizzle
11-13-2007, 12:35 AM
Yeah, the place just seems really shady... it's not really the warranty thing. It's the fact that he's not being forthcoming with where or who they're manufactured by, and shock dyno "soon". but the shock dyno thing is pretty standard with most cheap coilovers..

11-13-2007, 12:42 AM
Yea. Im sure they are the same cheap shocks that everyone else has
axiomatik
11-13-2007, 12:27 PM
I don't think the company is 'shady', I've only heard good things about their brake setup. I don't know if I would pick their coilovers over one of the many other options out there, though.

11-13-2007, 12:29 PM
Perhaps shady was the wrong term. I'm just not sure I care for the nondescript answer of "we have them made". But yes, I have heard good things about their brakes, which is why I asked about them in the first place. And still looking for someone running them...

Hmmmm with brakes its kinda easy since they are using someone elses calipers. and ss lines and brackets are simple to make.

bumping an old thread.....
So has anyone used these yet? I can't believe that no one among the entire zilvia community has any experience with these. I got curious after seeing luke's 260Z build. Hes using the AZC full suspension kit for the S30, so i got to checkin out their website.

my buddy uses them on his 240z and he feels that they were too over priced but he had no choice do to the fact that its hard to come by a set of coilovers for an old Z. ive driven the car myself and i feel its an awesome choice for classic Z owners. its durable and handles pretty well even tho it only has 14 settings haha

Getting a set of coilovers for a 240Z is simple buy some Konis and get sleeves and put them together. When are you guys going to realize that a Koni/Hypercoil or Eibach/GC setup is going to smash on almost all coilvers out there except the uber expensive and even some of those? Fact is the best setup for a 240Z is Koni's. Ground Control sells a setup for Z's and you know what it will rock over previous versions of Arizona Z car coilovers and cost less. Though I cannot speak about the new ones.

Well Dave. I dont see where you are basing that off of. Unless you have dealt first hand with the new inverted mono tube AZC coilovers. If you give the owner Dave a call, he is always happy to answer any questions. He also offers different valving, and spring rates for many different setups, and driving duties.

koni and groundcontrol is ordered based on the valving and spring rate that you want, they dont go all super low scraping up reflectors but they lower it plenty with supporting adjustable arms.

Guys. Nothing wrong with Koni/GC
I used the same setup on my 300zxtt back in the day. Im just saying that there is no reason why they would be better than any properly built coilover setup. exp, a monotube setup.

But the Koni/GC setup is where it's at huh??

Ok fair is is fair Luke. I will reserve my possible opinion till you can report back with your impressions. I am guilty of prejudging them based off seeing their old design. Though Koni's are proven. I wholeheartedly hope I am wrong about AZC coilovers.
