My car currently idles pretty high and I don't know why. Even after driving around for about 30 minutes to an hour, at a stop it idles from 1500 - 2000 rpms. I have a Sr20DET, FMIC, HKS BOV, Down pipe, test pipe, apexi exhaust, GReddy Spec II EBC set at 7.5 lbs. of boost, ACT lightened flywheel, Stage III Clutch, and I have not tuned the car yet. so I'm just wondering may that be it. Does it hurt the car at all? Or should I just be ok?

check your IACV or idle adjustment screw. an increase in air entering the motor is prolly causing the higher rev.

it wont hurt anything

Where do you live?? Your thermo might be stuck open and making your engine run cold. Do you have a temp gauge and wideband?

I live in philadelphia, I don't think my thermostat is stuck open. I don't have a wideband yet and my temp guage is right at the middle. I will try The valve adjustment.

check your throttle cable and see if the throttle plate is fully closed when the pedal is released all the way... if thats not it clean your idle valve

all of the above from bongnak, and if i can remember, its been a few years since i have had a idle valve on my car, but when they go bad the car will idle right around that area. Take it of and clean it, then run the tests that they dictate in the FSM, i believe you might even be able to unplug it and plug it back in to here if its actually moving the valve open/shut. I went through allot of bad valves and eventually just made a block off plate and ran idle adjustment off my throttle stop, i know its a little ghetto, but its worked for 2+ years.
