More then likely.

On a positive note...no more Macco paintjobs maybe.

What about our plastic/urethane bumpers and door handles and mirrors?

Not gonna happen I assume.

Hahah yea I thought about that too. Metal bumpers? And I wonder if you get like a deep scratch if it will mess it up. And its gonna be a bitch to fix if it messes up

For this reason alone it likely won't happen I'm guessing. At least not on road legal vehicles.

Sucks though... it would be cool

Exactly. Reminds me of the tires that never go flat. Police don't want them used by public because they can't use spike strips.

How would a cop be able to take you to court then?

Because according to my mammy, if the cop gets a SINGLE detail wrong on the ticket, then you're off clean. So just change the color before the court date and viola. Ticket is voided.

Am I right or just plain fucktarded?

your mammy is incorrect. they can write down the wrong car if they want. so long as your info is correct: fuck you, pay me.

Hhaha yup. My friend tried to convince me he would get off. But I was like you are still the pedro the pulled over so your fucked haha. I dono about all this color changing paint tho its just one more thing that will need to get fixed or will become faulty over the years. Plus if you need replacement panels you have to buy them straight from the dealer? and alot of smaller body shops probably wont know how to repair this stuff either

so it will never be publicly used, and Nissan will regain confident customers and stock holders, to make up for the Altima recall

Car looks good. Damn my friend just got pulled over in his G35 and he has the Skyline Emblems so the cop wrote down that the car was a skyline. He thinks hes gonna get away but now that I read all these postings I really do doubt it.

they already have color changing paint...not electronically but the temp sensitive stuff. black to white and blue to white. when your car is cold its black or blue and when its hot it turns white.

or he's in a whole new heap of shit for driving a car that doesnt meet dot standards... (i know it was just emblems, but when they process the ticket, they wont know)

btw, no offense, but i despise people who do that do their cars... skyline badges on a g35. soarer badges on a sc. fairlady badges on a 300z... etc etc

You are correct. However with the paint, talked about in the article, switches back to white after the car turns off. Anyway cops could use start using VIN numbers along side the license plate number..assuming the paint actually makes it to the the streets.
