I'm speaking generally, as I know nothing about RHD Design or Steven.

This is not a comment about RHD/Steven, just speaking my mind.

I'm tired of seeing these kind of threads about businesses.

I'm tired of people getting scammed (which is also the customer's responsibility, but that's a whole other post).

I think as a business you should try to stay as reachable as possible.

I find it very shocking when I read or hear businesses try to make excuses why they couldn't be reached (for an extended period of time).

Phone, aim, email, etc, so many methods in this day and age, so excuses really don't make sense.

If you're swapping someone's motor and its taking longer than expected or if there are issues, you should be the one contacting the customer, rather than the customer trying to play phone tag.

I think a lot of businesses forget that they were/are customers as well. I'm not perfect either, but I try as much as possible to constantly put myself in the customer's shoes, cause otherwise I feel guilty stringing out a customer, etc.

It's unfortunate that out of all industries, the automotive industry has the worst stigma attached to it. Hopefully, someday this will change.

Does anyone know where Steven lives?
I dropped my car off at his shop April 26, 08. Motor swap, KA24E to KA24DE....on a budget, blew up my motor.. need a DD

He said that it would take a couple of days at best, BUT would be done by the following weds. April 30,08

I called him sunday april 27th to see if he had started. (he said that he would try to start on it the same day i dropped it off and he said he would call me to let me know whats up

When I called him on Sunday he greets me with a "What do you want" type atttitude, which kind of took me by surprise, I thought I had called one of my friends initially that was just messing around.

He continued his attitude and lectured me on how I shouldnt bother him, and made it sound like it was not my right to know the status of my car.

So whatever I waited until Weds April 30th....finally at 7pm i called to see what the heck is going on. He tells me that he is at dinner and he will call me back, ok fine. He says "I'll try to get it finished up tonight"

No call back, I call him on Thursday May 1, 08, his cell phone is off, and the shop phone goes straight to v-mail, (it seems that it is forwarded to his cell)
Friday May 2nd SAME
Sat May 3rd I go to the shop fed up and pissed off....CLOSED!!!
I go peek through the fence and my car is SITTING in the exact same spot that it was dropped off at from the tow truck.
SAME NO PHONE CALL PICKED UP OR RETURNED!!!
So I called the Azusa Police Dept. and as them my options.
If the car is not delivered or phone calls are not returned one week from promise date, I have to file charges of extortion.:madfawk:

Sun - SAME
Mon - SAME
Tue May 6 - SAME

Tomm I will take off work if necessary to file charges of extortion. and file suit for time lost, towing fees and rental car fees.

So if someone could give me his address or last known contact info it would be much appreciated.

*edit* forgot to mention I bought parts from him originally and he seemed like a good knowledgeable guy so that is why i initially decided to go with him to do the swap....But both parts that i bought from him were junk and did not work, but when i called him back he said that he would exchange them....still have yet to see any parts exchanged....

Dude your shit is just plain out of control and bullshit. Fact is your job is getting done. Fact is you complained before your job was done which is technically not even following rules and guidelines for reviews on the forum.
Fact is even you even stated that you had discussed it with Steven this afternoon . Now just shut up and wait for the work to be done.
When your job is done then you write a review. Not go spamming up the forum with this bullshit. I honestly have to say if you complained in one area your shit would look legit.
When you spam the forum like this it makes you look like your impossible to deal with in the first place.

This Skyline's guys car has not even been at even Stevens shop for a week as stated by this Skyline guy. They have not done him wrong. Its a job in progress thats taken a little longer than skyline expected. Communication may have been poor but fact is Skyline already stated that he talked to Steven this afternoon. Of course the shop guys came to defend the shop. Maybe a poor choice of wording on their part but thats about it.

Fact is this Skyline guy is still putting up a stink after talking to Steven this afternoon and working it out. At this point Skyline dude should shut up and wait see per there discussion this afternoon . Right now he is just spamming the forum with this stuff.

For crying out loud lets use some common sense here people. You don't review something till the job is done or the part has been received. Not complain in the middle especially when its not been long.

My friend on here was supposed to buy a base model s14 trunklid from RHDDesign. Stephen NEVER picked up the phone nor did he return his calls, EVAR. If he can't handle a simple trunklid transaction how are people supposed to trust him with a motor swap? Sounds shady to me considering he's supposed to be running a "business."

I have no problem with the shop guy defending the shop, but do it with a little more class and subtleness. He basically gave fu** off attitude and started ranting about you get what you pay for. A contract is a contract man. If they owe you 3 grand, you collect 3 grand. You deal before the contract is made up and not after. Tell them to go home if that can't afford your prices and that's it. I really don't think anyone will go to a shop and ask for half off in exchange for a half ass job. That's funny right there. Can you imagine going to "In and Out" and telling them you only have half the money for a Cheeseburger combo....they're not going to give you a half of a burger, half order of fries, and a drink halfway filled up, right? They'll tell you to go home and get some more money..

That's respectable right there. When someone complains and you turn around and go off that way, it makes it seem like the complainer is right. Handle it respectfully and let people make their own judgements. Did you call him "op" because he looks like a skinny white kid with freckles? lol lol lol

you also have to look at the situation from the customer's point of view. if a supposed "legit shop" tells you a due date for your car to be done and its NOT done...and not only is it not done, but then dont answer their phones or give you a call to let you know what's causing the delay

wouldn't you be pissed off too? fuck i know id be doing the same exact shit that "loveskylines" is doing...putting that shop on blast so that one of 2 things will happen

-people will catch wind and wont go to that shop anymore
-get a response from the shop trying to rectify the problem

...dont be so quick to get pissed off and assume someone is making a big deal out of something, without looking at both ends of the spectrum
