so there's what 4 different areas that got the ca18dets, uk, downunda, asia, and like canada(i guess thats uk tho) anyway I'm trying to understand why I'm reading ca18dets redline at 7,500-7,600 and mine redlines at 8k... I was hoping someone could either explain the difference in the engines or a link so I could read up on it... nothing important but couldn't hurt to learn alil more

You may have a retuned ECU (you never really know what you get in a motorset) or a tach that's a bit off. Is your redline actually set at 8k, like if you tach it in neutral it'll bounce at 8k?

rev limiter is usually a little higher than the printed in red "redline" of the tach.
Not that you need to rev it over 7500 without a bigger turbo and intake manifold.

by bounce you mean like I can rev it to 8k in neutral? if so yeah i can, even if I don't need to go to 8k on the stock t25 it's still cool to rev higher then my :ghey: honda friends... so there wasn't a difference in ca18dets made?
