why don't you get a front lip and side pieces for a jdm oem type-s front bumper?
or from a type-g front bumper?
or a type-r front bumper?
i don't understand why everyone refers to it as type-x?

It's kouki, not type X. How many times does that have to be said on here?

$300 for the lip is actually pretty cheap, weren't they like $450 before iirc?
YoungRookie

They are $475 on thenismoshop.com, i thought they of all people would have them cheaper then that. I think mynismo.com has them the cheapest at like $300 something

i see fiberglass knockoffs, some slightly different from the OEM design anywhere from 9000-15000 yen.
it would make sense to buy the version select knockoff since its all one piece, plus its easily replaceable.
not to mention its readily available, or will be as soon as they start selling them, have they?

There's a shop in Ontario,CA that makes them.
I"ll look for the link.

Yea but what is the link for shine auto, i really want to get a lip because i think it finishes off the bumper and completes it, and it just looks bad ass. But i think $350 bucks for the lip is ridiculous. I would have gotten the version select but i don't want fiberglass. There has got to be a few knock off lips out there for the kouki bumper

I don't think i would mind just the lip being fiberglass, i just didn't want the whole bumper to be fiberglass. Because i have oem sides too and im looking for the 3pc rear valence right now. I think shine auto's website is down or under construction or something because it says coming. i just e mailed Shine Auto and asked if they do make a lip for that front bumper and how much they sell it for, so once they let me know i will post it up on here and let everyone know. I would like to see some people's pictures of their oem kouki front bumpers and the rest of their areo if thats allowed in this type of thread if not i will search the picture thread

Hell yeah
I loved that car
So simple but still badder than most cars, even to this day
But then again it might just be due to the fact that Koguchi drove it

you may as well go with the OEM lip..
by the time you pay for shipping of the fiberglass one you'll be $100 less then the OEM one.. and it isnt going to fit nearly as nice as the OEM one. For one i doubt anyone makes the exact replica in fiberglass with all mounting points and etc that direct fits a kouki bumper.. and even if they do its not going to be less then 150 for sure, simply isnt worth making them if you're going to sell anything less then that..
so i believe this is why version just made the whole bumper with everything on it.. problem solved! now there isnt quite a solution for your situation besides OEM lip... trust me i know as i'm in the same one.. i'm just not in a rush to get a lip right now.. but before the car goes in the booth lip will be there :-)

I just tried finding that kit OR peices of that kit...no one sells those Skirts that i can find.Or do they sell ALONE?
Got anywhere They you know has them. I know GPSports has a set similar set (silver pictured 180sx) but they have a Flat type peice apart of the bottom of the skirts similar to RIDOX Supra Sides (if you've seen those)

I can get a fiberglass one for 125 plus 65 shipping. So hopefully all goes well and it will fit up pretty good. :)
